:ohhh: Actually a good read

I feel this brother should've just stayed true to his roots. The reason I came to enjoy his music is because he portrayed the struggles of his people and country in a way that was entertaining and anybody could enjoy. Similar to the way guys like Nas take you into their life and paint the the picture so vividly its like a film on wax. If I wanted to hear pop American garbage from K'Naan I'd just turn on the radio :scusthov:

Just saw him live in DC and K'Naan never disappoints with live performance, was a great show.

But yo, he pretty much said on stage that this album was whack :leon:

Someone in the audience had a copy of "country, God, or the Girl" and he was like "thanks for buying the album, I really appreciate it. It is interesting though, this isn't my best work and I did a lot of experimentation on it. I definitely think the first two outshine this one"

:russ: Everyone's third album is shid

this is a good sign, hopefully we get some unfiltered shyt from him where he's really going in instead of :old:

he stuck most of the EP on the album :why: if the reception wasn't great to the EP

EDIT: that k'naan wale tour came to my school when i was a sophomore, still one of the dopest shows i've ever been to. dumb motherfukkers were like why is wale opening for k'naan but when they heard k'naan with that live band it was a wrap :steviej:
