I haven't looked at the track list but his last two singles on the radio have been pop as hell.....the one with Nelly Furtado which I thought was on an EP and his latest one in which he's singing about a girl trying to break up with him. I don't want to judge dude but its like after Waving Flag he's trying to go straight mainstream.

this shyt is trash. and I absolutely LOVED Knan's previous works. Plus he is still on his "im a refugee, im so hard" steez, which is a bit trite given that this is his third album where he still goes on and on about this.
yeah the refugee bit is tiring, you'd think he would be a bit more creative after rapping for over 10 years now

Just saw him live in DC and K'Naan never disappoints with live performance, was a great show.
But yo, he pretty much said on stage that this album was whack
Someone in the audience had a copy of "country, God, or the Girl" and he was like "thanks for buying the album, I really appreciate it. It is interesting though, this isn't my best work and I did a lot of experimentation on it. I definitely think the first two outshine this one"

I liked his raw poetic/lyrical songs sometimes with classic Somali chorus but its like dude said fuc it and embraced the diseased pop culture genre.
