I like the Wiiu, but I find this statement hilariously false for a multitude of reasons. Reasons being is cuz their grand "success" last time wasn't with a console that was even hardly competent, but with a gimmick and everyone and their momma knows this, whereas this time, they have not such a gimmick to exploit or that is ridiculously sought after and the 2 gens prior to that, their console was as competent or even moreso competent in some respects only for them to not succeed anyways (succeed as in equal or better than their comp.). And even still, competent or not, Ninty as a whole should be a lot more 3rd party friendly and just lil less overly dependent on typical ninty titles to carry the load for them. As great as Mario may or may not be, his games alone do not a successful console make. And also, would it kill them to be a bit more competent in the online area as their competitors? And broaden the range of their first party titles a lil bit as well. I ain't saying they gotta kill off their classic titles/characters or totally do away with their bread n butter, but they could still use a bit more variety within that context. I know they've made a few attempts, but they should be doing quite a bit more there regardless. I say all this w/o the slightest bit of hate. If anything, that's the 800 lb. gorilla in their room.
