When is the last time a good team set themselves on fire like this. The east is wide open. Sure they had no way of knowing Haliburton would get injured in the finals but still.

It's not a bad hire.

I'm surprised a lot of Knicks fans wanted Jenkins who is mediocre as a coach.

Mike Brown has actually been a successful coach in the NBA. It's funny how people act like he's trash. He's one of the few coaches in the league to have a great regular season record.

Obviously, postseason is where things change a bit but I think he's good enough for the job. Another thing is that people are acting like Thibs would've brought the Knicks back to the ECF next season, shyt just because NY made it this season doesn't mean anything or any guarantees they'd return. Whether Thibs returned or not, I could see NY getting bounced in the first or second round again next time. It's not like they were locked into making the Conference Finals again.

So I don't feel like the ceiling is about being better than how the Knicks finished this year, the truth is this was their best chance of making the Finals at the very least, I don't think Thibs would make a difference next season.

It's like a parachute payment at this point..for these long standing coaches.

Damn this is the epitome of hustling backwards :russ:

Really is.

I'm still not understanding why they never spoke with Mike Malone. NYK front office is really a clown show. Buncha people up there who just seem to be winging it half the time. Leon Rose should've been let go, when Phil left.
