The "dolan would be willing to trade Hardaway and Shumpert" line confirms this is a troll rumor. Everyone knows that the Rockets will give up Lin for anything, since he has been a complete disaster in Houston and he is set to make superstar money next year, which the rockets absolutely do not want to pay.

The knicks may be interested, but not for hardaway and shump. The knicks basically shot down a trade for lowry, who is about 45 times better than Lin.

Hate it or love it, fair or not fair, due to race or whatever, Linsanity was really the only time the Knicks were front page the past 10 years. They had a little buzz with the Carmelo trade originally but that really paled in comparison. Dolan misses that, and they could use a young PG.

:banderas: Chad Ford said that James Dolan would trade both Timmy Hardaway Jr. & Shumpert to get Lin back.

:snoop: Timmy is gonna be one of those fan favorite special role players. They gotta be brain dead to get rid of him. :patrice: Then again it is the knicks so... :patrice:

Do you even watch the Rockets play? :what: Jeremy Lin does not suck. He is a very serviceable player. Certainly better than Felton.

Well, raymond has fallen off a cliff this year for whatever reason, but they were comparable players last year, with Lin making twice as much, so if you're gunna try to call out people's opinions of the two, you cant discount last year at your convenience.

Furthermore, I am incorporating Lin's salary into the analysis since he makes significantly more than Felton, so he should, in theory, be a significantly better player.

Lin's contract only counts about $8.3 mil against the cap next year even though he'll actually get paid $15 mil.

Lin is not coming back. dolan was an a$$hole off the bat for trading him anyways when he could have had the stronger team when melo came back from injury. but they wouldnt pay LIN even though he was putting asses in seats and getting nikkas to watch the games again

Not if he's in a Knicks uni. That's the case for every other team he can play for except the Knicks.

That's why I find this rumor hard to swallow but it is the Knicks...

not only this, but lin is constantly injured.

He is? Cuz he's played almost every game since he's been a rocket.... Started 82 games last year. Only missed a couple this year all in one span. It's not like he's in and out the lineup every few games...

I dunno breh even Ball Don't Lie on Yahoo mentioned this shyt earlier, doesn't mean it's true necessarily, but I don't think Yahoo AND ESPN would front on this.

Initially reported by Chad Ford of ESPN.com, rumors are swirling that Knicks front office personnel—particularly James Dolan—are "intensely contemplating" a plan to reacquire Jeremy Lin. "Dolan wants this deal done," says a source within the Knicks organization in a discussion with Yahoo.com's Adrian Wojnarowski. "Dolan is willing to eat the [Poison Pill] contract, and he'd be willing to part ways with one or two young assets." The source refuses to confirm whether or not Houston Rockets would entertain such a deal, but he contends the Rockets would welcome the move based on their demeanor in preliminary talks. "They've certainly mulled the plan, and by the sounds of it, they're on board with us." The mutual necessity lies in the fact that the Rockets are looking for more "size" n/h in their backcourt, and the Knicks are seeking "intelligence." "We don't care if our point guard can't slang dikk like Felton. That nikka a bum, but his dikk game is on point. We're willing to take on Lins small as dikk if it means we get a smarter point guard." Nothing is final as of yet, but by the sound of it, the Knicks can't wait to get this deal completed.

I'm referring to this season. I could have swore he's been in and out the lineup a lot.
