I'd take dolan as an owner over the fukkin wilpons.

I was just thinking this the other day... I'd rather him own the Mets over the Knicks. His problem with basketball is that he thought he knew more than he really did, and empowered himself to get involved with the decision making process. Basketball teams have smaller rosters, so his thinking was always trying to get that one shiny object that would give the team star power. You can't do that in baseball... You've got to have good scouting, good minor league development, etc. If he was to own the Mets, I'm sure he wouldn't be nickel and diming every thing like the Coupons.

Seems so far like he's learned his lesson; Alan Hahn stays talking about how people inside MSG are telling him that Dolan is not involved with day to day affairs. So this news kinda has me like :manny: I'll believe it when I see it.... Now if I was to hear about the Coupons selling, I'd be dancing in the streets.

Dolan's not selling. Bad "journalism" by Deadspin.

He is separating sports from entertainment and will serve as CEO and executive chairman of both companies.

Fired? He's an owner he can't be fired. But uh niqqaz want results a chip would be epic for NYC. We would lose our collective minds if the Knicks won a chip.

The city would rock like never before... The Knicks, I think, would be the one unifying factor of NYC... In the other sports, loyalties are split for the most part. Baseball, you got Mets and Yanks... Football, Jets and Giants. Even hockey is split between the Devils, Islanders and Rangers... When the Knicks are rocking, the city gets behind them. Not counting the Nets, either. If this team starts cooking, the city will be lit.
