Knicks should have kept David Lee.

Amare is the reason Carmelo and people started paying attention to the knicks again.

It was a bad contract, but it was necessary. The knicks were about to lose out that summer with NO players...you guys don't pay attention

Basically, plus the Knicks lost most of their draft picks, so it would have made sense to go for broke and sign Amare. :manny:

Out of curiosity has David Lee ever been in the playoffs?

He was an allstar once but why is he never in the discussion of great or good power forwards?

Does he even make a team better? Seriously does he??

I'm really curious about this. It's the same thing with Kris Humphries. Yea dude is a walking double double but he's more of a liability in late game stretches. Even as bad as we criticize amare he has had some memorable late game blocks and pressure in key games.

Plus most importantly who wants to play with David Lee? Like would Carmelo have came? Would Deron have signed an extension? C'mon breh it just don't work

New York put all their hopes on signing lebron and when he stiffed that overzealous presumptuous fan base they had no choice but to sign amare he's the only player who willingly wanted to go to the 'mecca' and the knicks were the only team dumb enough to give that overrated system player 100 mill uninsured

David Lee is second in the league in the last 4 years when it comes to double doubles. Only Dwight has had more in that time frame. 6 years 80 million for D-Lee ain't a bad contract at all. No he's never been to the playoffs but he's never played next to a real center before either. If/when Bogut comes back he'll end his playoff drought this season. David Lee and Carl Landry has been a damn good 1,2 punch so far tho.

Without Amar'e theres no Melo, Chandler etc. so you can't really fault em. Granted they havent had any real success with those 3...but it costs to be relevant
