The way to support your argument isn't by comparing one season of 66 games against another season of 80 games - they are separate seasons and the averages from one don't affect the average from another, meaning you cannot "prove" anything about the averages from one season by using the averages from another.
If you're trying to prove that playing more games is better for your average numbers then you would compare a player's average performance over a full season against his average performance in the first 30, 40, 50, etc. games of that same season.
