no that would be kobe. bron was just more of a physical speciman. 6'8" 240. he was a grown man while kobe was still a kid. but as you can see from the video, kobe's skills were already just about all there at 17. bron only really got a post game and jumper the last few seasons so i would dare to say he was not as skilled as kobe coming out.
And his jumper only is efficient at low volume and his post game is unrefined and brutish

yep. and his footwork is still all types of ugly and ineffective. there is no question kobe is the most skilled player of the post-jordan era. before that, who knows. i've not seen enough footage of guys like oscar and jerry west to make any conclusive determination. the only other guy in the convo is jordan.

I see people discounting Lebron's skills because he's freakishly big and athletic just like they did Shaq in his prime for the same reasons. What people need to realize is that freakish size and athleticism are only an attribute that allows Lebron (and prime Shaq) to utilize the skills he has as effectively as he does. Lebron's shoots a great percentage from the paint and 3 point range, he is an elite passer, he hardly ever turns the ball over because of a drubbing error, he rebounds well, and understands the key to basketball--the fundamentals of spacing. How ANYBODY can come up with this narrative that Lebron isn't skilled is beyond me. If all it took to be a great basketball player were to be big and athletic nikkas like Jimmy Graham would have stuck to basketball.
Lebron is obviously skilled, but offensively kobe is on another level in terms of footwork, post game, handles etc.
