What's your point?

Do I have to explain why missed shots are bad? Or do Kobe fans live in a universe where missed shots hold value?

:duck: Jordan never missed a week after any of his 40+ point games with the wizards.Only time he didn't play was when he had that knee injury that eventually needed surgery

Can you get to your point?

How does Kobe missing the most shots in history make him overrated?

A SG that played 20 seasons missed the most shots.

My mind is blown.

Kobe missed the most shots in NBA History, and still won 5 NBA Championships, still won 2 NBA Finals MVPs, still won a NBA League MVP, still was named an NBA All-Star 17x, still was named to the All-NBA Team 15x, still was named to the All-Defensive Team 12x, still averaged 40 points or more in 4 different months, still put up 81 points in 1 game, still scored 62 points in 3 quarters against the team who made the NBA Finals that season, shall I continue? :childplease:

Why don't you tell us more about how Kobe missing the most shots in NBA history hindered him or the Los Angeles Lakers over the course of his 20 year career, when NO ONE from his era has played in or won more Championships than he has? :childplease:

Kobe played in that many championships because he played on great teams. Again, if you want to worship PPG numbers that's fine...but just know that's an archaic way to look at how effective someone is on a basketball court. Kobe was a very good player dont get me wrong...but come on now. Efficiency isnt analytics, its logic.

Thought so. Gave you 2 opportunities to prove your point and still couldn't do it.

go stan Geno Smith :camby:

He's taken the 3rd most shots in NBA history and has a significantly worse shooting percentage than those guys surrounding him in that category. The only other guard that's come close to taking that amount of shots is Jordan, and even the most ardent Kobe stan would admit he wasn't nearly as good as MJ was.

Oh, you're one of those people that have no issue with players holding the ball with 3 seconds left instead of taking a low % shot at halfcourt to preserve their FG% right before halfitme?

These stat geeks kill me. :russ:

Solid point. I'm sure all of those Kobe misses comprised of full court shots to beat the halftime buzzer.

Efficiency stats mean nothing.

Hang on to stats that say the best PG of all-time is Chris Paul, best PF of all-time is Bob Petite, and the best C of all-time is Shaquille O'Neal brehs:childplease:

Matter fact, going by your "efficiency", the All-Time GOAT roster is:

Starter / Backup
C Shaquille O'Neal / David Robinson
PF Bob Petite / Charles Barkley
SF LeBron James / Kevin Durant
SG Michael Jordan / Dwyane Wade
PG Chris Paul / Magic Johnson

And that's what you riding with?:childplease:

Player A shoots 45% = 9/20 with 1 shot from halfcourt

Player B shoots 50% = 10/20 while being shook to take that halfcourt shot

@Trip being the math geek nerd that he is believes player B is more efficient than player A. :mjlol: even though player B is more selfish than player A.

efficiency means nothing? Do you understand basic math? Tell me the value of a missed shot and then tell me how efficiency means nothing. And scoring efficiency isnt the entire makeup of a player- rebounding(offensive/defensive), turnovers and defense all matter. All of those guys you listed are all time greats anyway.
