Not really. It's more like the game is over to the point where there's nothing he can do about it. You're TBM breh, but this blind hate for the sake of hate isn't wavy. We can't we just talk ball without all that extra shyt.....in half of those games Kobe has as many made FGs and points and is shooting a higher percentage than the rest of his team by half time.

You know he's not the one folding, but Imma let you have this because you still on championship high.......unless you're not down with Team Stannis :demonic:

Blind hate? Breh, you see the numbers. :heh:

If anyone is being biased in a Kobe conversation I think we all know who that would be. :usure:

I didn't come out and just say Kobe plays poorly in elimination games. Somebody else made the thread and posted the numbers. So me stating the obvious is blind hate?

What extra stuff am I talking about? I've been on topic 100% until this post. The topic is Kobe's sub-par numbers in elimination games and that's all I've discussed. :yeshrug:

I think youre one of the many that take all he does for granted then.

No other player has to effect the game in so many ways like he has to for his team to win. Defensively, Offensively, on the boards, its all on him for the most part.

When his offensive game is lacking, people act like he isnt shyt and not helping the team stick around or even take the lead.

I think this is the result of primarily great scorers like Kobe and Mike (although MJ did have strong defense, he was never asked to rebound like Bron).

People fail to analyze games deeply a lot of the time. Not saying you specifically but many posters on here, that are still unwilling to give him props.

And I do realize part of this is just the "stan wars" and nobody wants to give an inch either way(somehow giving Lebron props is taking away from Kobe now and vice versa) :manny:
He isn't the first guy to guard multiple positions. Tbh really 2s and 3s exclusively and sparingly on 1s and 4s because he would get ran into the ground guarding both for long stretches. He can play that way because the game is different surely that plays a part in how he can guard 5 positions. I can appreciate it as a fan of the game I just think gets overstated a bit.

Lebron's two are way more impressive than Kobe's two

What's even more impressive is that Kobe has more Finals MVPs than your favorite players Barkley and Nash have Finals APPEARANCES.

impressive in what way? the fact that he ran to play with another franchise player because he cant stand pressure? or the fact that said player was already a finals mvp and champion before lebron even got there.....which one makes it more impressive? LOL
The teams Miami beat in the finals > the teams LA beat

And Bron already took a team to the finals before joining Miami. Before Pau, Kobe in his prime couldn't get past the first round.

You said "he folds." Where did he fold at any point in the last decade, and yes his numbers are terrible unquestionably. But it's not you folding if your team is getting blown out and quit on you. Look at 08 vs. Boston, the Mavs series in 2011, 2012 vs. OKC. LeBron does have better numbers in these games, no one is questioning that....

Hes just a different player, that we have never seen. You failed to address the rebounding that his team depends on him for, is that not impressive to you?

I do agree that this is a different era where the lack of real dominant big men allow Lebron to cover all positions pretty much, and the thing is, he only switches to guarding other positions when a specific guy is killing his team..that makes it even more impressive IMO.

I can appreciate this specifically cus when I played ball, I was very good at defense and often my coaches would run a box and 1 with me trying to shut down the other teams scorer while the my teammates played zone...:win:

Yes and your mother's a whore. Just as relevant :wonka:

But my mother is a married woman with all her kids by the same father:dwillhuh:

And speaking of relevancy, the Sons are always relevant to the Lakers.....we need a doormat in their Pacific Division to wipe our feet on.

Yeah I can to an extent if that wasn't such a chronic weakness it wouldn't need be a focus of his game. I actually think he should switch on a guy earlier but thats probably the "hater" coming out in my post :pachaha:

that's true

2013 spurs and 2012 okc >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 09 orlando, 10 boston

But but but Kobe played slightly better teams overall in the west then what lebron faced in the east.

Let's just run it down those 3 years

2008 Nuggets => 2011 Knicks
2008 Jazz <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 2011 Celtics
2008 Spurs <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<2011 Bulls

2009 Jazz >>>>>>>>2012 Sixers
2009 Rockets (with tmac and yao hurt) <<<< 2012 Pacers
2009 Nuggets <<<<<<<<<< 2012 Celtics

2010 Thunder >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2013 Bucks
2010 Jazz <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<2013 Bulls (injuries or not)
2010 Suns <<<<<<<<<<< 2013 Pacers

In '03, '04, '06, '08, '11 those Elimination games weren't even close, his team was blown out. In '09 his team blew the Rockets out

Here's his numbers as a starter in elimination games that were not blowouts:

00' WCF, Game 7: 25 pts, 11 reb, 7 ast, .515 TS%, 4 blk (W)
'02 WCF, Game 6: 31 pts, 11 reb, 5 ast, .624 TS% (W)
'02 WCF, Game 7: 30 pts, 10 reb, 7 ast, .493 TS%, 2 stl (W)
'07 WCQF, Game 5: 34 pts, 4 reb, 1 ast, .471 TS% (L)
'10 Finals, Game 6: 26 pts, 11 reb, 3 ast, .589 TS%, 4 stl (W)
'10 Finals, Game 7: 23 pts, 15 reb, 2 ast, .376 TS% (W)
'12 WCQF, Game 7: 17 pts, 1 reb, 8 ast, .479 TS% (W)
'12 WCSF, Game 5: 42 pts, 5 reb, 0 ast, .582 TS%, 2 stl (L)

8 Games: 28.5 PPG/ 8.5 RPG/ 4.1 APG 43%(51%TS)

2006 1st Round, Game 7 - Lakers lost by 31

Halftime
Kobe - 21 points, 8 Made FGs
Rest of Lakers - 24 points, 9 Made FGs

Kobe shot 50% for the game. Rest of his teammates 32%.

Odom - 35%
Smush - 31%
Kwame - 20%

08 Finals, Game 6 - The Lakers lost by 39.
Here is how Kobe started the Game.

End of 1st Quarter
Kobe - 11 points, 4 Made FGs
Rest of Lakers - 9 points, 1 MADE FG

And it all went downhill from the 2 Quarter
Halftime - Lakers down by 23
Kobe - 4 Made FGs
Rest of Lakers - 4 Made FGs

Kobe alone had the same amount of Made FGs as the rest of his teammates combined at Halftime. The worst part was they, like the rest of this series were WIDE OPEN:russ:

'11 WCSF, Game 4 - The Lakers lost by 36
Here is how Kobe started the Game.

End of 1st Quarter
Kobe - 13 points, 6 Made FGs
Rest of Lakers- 10 points, 2 MADE FGs

Halftime - Lakers down by 24
Kobe - 7 Made FG
Rest of Lakers - 7 Made FGs

Kobe had made the same amount of FGs as the rest of his teammates combined at Halftime.

2012 WCSF against the Thunder

Kobe had 42 Points on 54% from the field. The rest of the lakers

Pau 5/14 35% 14 Points
Ramon Sessions 1/6 8 points
Bynum 4/10 10 points
Artest 4/5 11 Points

:aicmon:
So does he or doesnt he make his teammates better?

are u joking? that 2010 celtics team was wayyy better than a young, developing okc team or an old, hobbling spurs team.

bron took a cavs team to the finals (possibly easiest road to the finals in playoff history?) only to get swept by the spurs. if he played in the western conference that season, he woulda been swept in the 1st round. if he woulda played with smush parker, luke walton, and kwame brown in the starting line-up, he woulda had a total of 25 wins, and thats being generous.
