No...it has nothing to do with being a "stan." It's just dumb to act like Bron taking a pay cut invented getting praised for it.

You've seen it and never had a problem until Bron received praise for it.
Lebron's contract is what 5 million less than the max? It still did not hurt his pocket, because there is NO STATE INCOME TAX in Florida.

Never said when Kobe threw his tantrums he wasn't fair game to be criticized though. I could see why he would get criticized for it, same reason why I could see Bron get heavily criticized for what he did.

When Kobe did it, I didn't assign "blame" or "labeled" him a bytch. He had every right to demand that he be surrounded with talent.

You don't know why people thought Bron running to play in Wade's team was labeled a bytch move? :heh:

It's stupid and childish

Its no different than players asking for trades or teams raping players by suddenly trading them to garbage lottery teams..leaving them to rot on there.

Bron would still be ring less in Cleveland..the scrutiny he received was some bullshyt and you know it too.

Cant believe we are still talking about bron teaming up with Wade and Bosh in 2013  especially after all the bosh is soft and d wade is flabbynsick jokes.

At least Kobe didn't have to run to another team to win a championship. That's something Bron ain't never gonna live down.

Imagine Jordan running to play with Magic to win a Championship? Or Kobe running to Duncan to help him win one after Shaq left?:skip:

we gonna act like kobe wasnt tryna get a trade to the bulls once upon a time?:aicmon:

lets be real...NBA cap's are set up in a way in which the current Heat roster couldnt exist without them taking paycuts, that sjust the reality of it...Ive always viewed the situation of star taking intentional paycuts in order to form stack teams as weak

thats like the only way they could have signed 3 top 10 players at the time...so yeah its lowkey cheating the situation, but its all fair game I suppose...there are 3 players on the Lakers roster making more than LeBron this season

its technically cheating the system unless you're just reconstructing youre contract to receive more money down the line or your current play doesnt justify your check, which you see alot of in the NFL

the NBA cap isnt desgined to have 3 max players on a roster, its actually tries to prevent that..Bron and his buddies just took the smart route and all took pay cuts so it could work, it is what it is

He was drafted fam. He didn't force his way out of Charlotte

Never said what Bron did was wrong. But I can see why people think he's a bytch for running to play with Wade and Bosh.

You're wrong. Bean did force his way out of Charlotte. Said he would't play for anybody but the Lakers. I remember the 96 off-season like it was yesterday. Even the Tonight Show jokes when Leno said the Lakers traded for Kobe because he would help them save money to sign Shaq because he could stay in the hotels for free.

To your 2nd point, would it have mattered if Wade and Bosh signed with Cleveland instead? Either way they were all signing it just so happens that Miami is Miami and Cleveland is Cleveland. nikkas really need to kill that "he had to team up" noise. It was lame in 2010 and it's 100x lamer today.

Brolic... Alcoholics
I actually listened to this interview Saturday. Sam Mitchell was there too and the first thing Termine wanted to talk about was the 81 point game. Sam was kinda mad. Lol

Seriously tho... When listening to it, it doesnt sound like a shot and more like some advice to Lebron. Lebron can win 4 more MVPs and it won't mean shyt unless he starts racking up his ring count. I didn't know dude was sensative like that.

d12 for Josh Smith ZaZA Puchulia... ive said this numerous times..

it works money wise...

works for the lakers.. moves gasol to his natural position C..

D'antoni offonse is focused on the PG/PF positions(look @ Earl Clark for proof)

1. Howard would not sign extension during the season therefore he wants to leave
--> Not 100 % correct, If he signs the extension right now he is only eligible to sign 3 yrs
instead of 5yr(if he chooses to Lakers) or 4 yrs(if he chooses to sign with other team)
therefore even if Howard is traded, he is not going to sign the extension with the team
during the season.

2. Howard S&T options
--> Under NEW CBA RULE, Lakers still can do S&T Howard to other team but there will
not most likly happened. Because 1. opposing team must be under cap
2. Howard would get SAME money and yrs as if he just signs with new team. So If Lakers
S&T Howard to Houston or Dallas, Howard would get same money 4 yrs about 88M.
That is same money Houston or Dallas can sign him outright. So there is no point for
Howard to force S&T unless Howard feels he owes Lakers which I doubt it.

3. Max Money Howard could get is with Lakers 5yrs about 110M
Max money Howard could get with other teams is 4 yrs about 88M.

then there this
Lakers owner says it is no accident they have 2014 cap space | ProBasketballTalk

Right now the only Lakers contract on the books for that season is Steve Nash at $9.7 million. You can expect Dwight Howard will be added to that list in the neighborhood of $21 million when he re-signs with the team this summer (he could technically leave but I wouldn’t bet on it). That’s a little over $30 million on the books, which even with the salary cap where it is now would leave them $28 million to chase free agents. That’s at least one max free agent.

“We purposely ended all contracts that year,” Buss said. “I can’t talk about Kobe (Bryant), but this is what he signed till. So basically we put everything to that, and we want to make a big splash in the free-agent market if we get to that spot. So we designed the contracts and the players and our future all around that….

“Yeah, depending on the free agents that year,” Buss said. “We would basically, money-wise, be able to sign the top free agent – maybe even two. I don’t know the numbers exactly, because we’re not privy to what the cap is and how much room we have, but it’s going to be close to two of the top free agents that year.”

The Lakers had a deal in place with the Hornets before the draft. If Kobe fell to them they would trade him to the Lakers for Divac. Who at the time was one of the best centers in the NBA.

There is no state income tax in Florida. So Lebron did not take a pay cut.

Did he take the max allowable salary?

No, he took a paycut

Stop trolling

this wasnt happening regardless...Bosh didnt want Cleveland, and Wade was looking at Chicago before staying in Miami...the 3 of them teaming up in Cleveland was never a possibibilty, its Bron who decided to leave Cleveland (fair game) and team up with them in Miami
