So is everybody going to ignore the fact that Kobe outplayed Pippen in that series?

They didn't see the series. This was Kobe first season starting after Shaq got EJ shipped. He got was still young and at times got out savvied by a vet. Kobe outplayed him in that series AND killed him next year when he was on the Jailblazers.

Phil called pippen a sometimes shooter. When he was hittin he looked like the best player on the floor

If there was no mike and pip was not immersed in an admin based coup to underpay him by Krause beam counting.
Pip was the best guy.
It was only when he played corporate ball did it affect his attitude and made his overall play swing below acceptable for him.
Pip was better when he was at an apex that was not halted by some outside issues from management.
If you would have just paid pip accurately he would have never developed the corporate ball persona and he would have a better legacy as a lone player in basic mythos.

Since he had attitude issues brought on by admin based situations. It just affected his play because it created a lower level skill and execution level as pro he could go to.
When he should have been on kill mode all the time.
It took quite a bit to turn Scottie back on after the first disappointment admin wise from the bulls.
Imo, he never recovered to be ridgeline pip ever again just from this situation.

Pip was a number two to mike.
Personally, I understand Krause always trying to undercut pip.
Yet, pip was special because when you think back.
The only person who you get really happy about prospectively being a bull and helping mike convert.
Was the tmac for pip trade that supposedly mike veto'd.
Yet, I would have enjoyed to see tmac with mike cause tmac originally was a pg as his natural position.

That is the push that resulted in the pip social issue with Rodman.

Pip used to mortally hate Rodman.
This is the moment that elevated that situation from extreme dislike to mortal hatred.
That eventually showed Rodman and pip were really pros because they actually played together and I do not remember any real social dysfunction between pip and Rodman as teammates
