OP is about Kobe. No rational Kobe fan is denying the HOF worthy play of Lebron or decrying analytics. In fact, recent analytics advancements that do a better job of accounting for context and other factors have been much more favorable to Kobe.

Agreed on the first part (except for one...) and yeah I'd say Kobe's impact has been painted a little more accurately recently. He didn't consistently have LeBron's or Jordan's PER or BPM or any of that but it's also worth mentioning how he was one of the best post-up players in the league for a while (in general is inefficiency is overblown once you consider his volume and shot selection) and his high usage threshold (which allows him to be such a lightning rod in the analytics era). He's at a unique spot in efficiency VS volume.
