2 on 2 match up absolutely. Shaq in his prime 7'1 350 lbs against a 2 guard & SF. Yes they would win.

The better answer is None of those kobe/shaq lead championship laker teams could beat ANY of michael's bull championship teams. Especially those last 3 peat bull teams. Lakers would may win a game if they're lucky. Ron Harper, Rodman, BJ armstrong, paxson, kerr, Longley got a lot flack but is he was a decent center. The refs screwed the kings & the lakers barely got past the blazers that one year plus kobe & shaq got dominated by the pistons... Never saw the bulls lose in the finals or get dominated by anyone....

:yeshrug:

Nah...2001 Shaq Lakers team will give any team you've ever heard of in the history of basketball fits. Any of them. Russel, Bird's, Magic..don't fukking matter. He was on too much of a roll at that point.

In my opinion (I'm a bulls fan) but I look at it like this is Kobe willing to pass (MJ and Pip are not gonna shut him down) and Shaq in the paint is unstoppable so on offense Shaq gonna shine but defensively he's gonna have a world of problems MJ & Pip are to smart to challenge him in the post (MJ might try a few times due to his competitive nature) but They would work with mid to long range jumpers, Kobe can't guard both and if Shaq comes out to defend 1. MJ and Pip are quick enough to get around him or pop the jumper 2. if Kobe goes to pick up the driver defensively they would dish it off to the open man. Shaq will get a few blocks off those situations but not enough to hinder the scoring. A few of you are going off the players skill alone but once you factor in intelligence it makes a world of difference.

The outcome of this depends on 2 things

1. Is Kobe willing to pass the ball when needing to do so.
2. Can MJ keep his competitive nature in check

And even with all that said........

I STILL CAN'T CALL IT!!!!!!! :troll:

So basically he's saying Shaq>>>>>>>>>>Pippen. Does anybody really disagree with this? :ld: And he's absolutely right. It's just funny to once again see more shifting. 10 years ago during the heyday of the :mjpls: vs. :childplease: debates cats used to actually try to throw Pippen out there as somehow comparable to Shaq. Over the years I have heard cats say things like "Kobe didn't have the luxury of having a Pippen. He had to facilitate AND score." as if having the modern day Wilt didn't more than make up for that or my favorite "Kobe had to sacrifice his game for Shaq" as if he still didn't outshoot him and the benefits didn't far outweigh the costs. Now that we are talking about two on two suddenly we recognize that Shaq shyts all over Pippen. :heh: Jordan and Pippen really have no shot unless, as others have mentioned, Kobe goes 04 Finals.
