love kobe to death but Management cannot do shyt to help him. His 30 million dollar albatross on the cap makes it damn near impossible for management to do anything. In Fact management cannot drastically improve the team without using the amnesty clause on dude. :manny:

Kobe has Steve Nash, Dwight, Pau, Metta and he asking for more help ?

Lebron has half-a-Wade and a soft Bosh and you fools would cry wolf if he dared asking for more help

Amnestying Kobe would do nothing to improve the lakers, they'd still be capped out...but without a top 5 player in league...it'd just save them money in luxury tax...kobe's contract is starting to get overstated here to ridiculous extents...he's getting paid like a star and is giving them star value for his contract

And again...

Kobe has said repeatedly that he wants the same chief constituents on the team as last year (i disagree with him, if Dwight stays Pau HAS go IMO)...but because of the CBA, even doing that incurs serious added expenses via tax hits...I don't think he's "complaining" about more help or asking the team to go out and acquire another big piece, because it is frankly impossible, but to not break the current team down for cost saving purposes...that he would take a significant pay cut after his current contract expires next year is a foregone conclusion if he plans to stay on the lakers....put ignore this post and continue playing stupid and paint it as you want

:snoop: people playing stupid turning an innocuous comment about hoping management take the expenses to remain competitive turning to a player "crying for help" or whatever it is people are trying to frame it as

Amnestying Kobe. Signing Cp3 and then Sign Howard. We'd be in the luxury but we'd have CP3 and DH.

Nash? Trade him :win:

This is kobe's last year on contract there is literally no point in amneysting him since even somehow if you could sign cp3 and dwight the bench would still be trash.

The Bulls wouldn't have beaten the Spurs either.

We were trash, but the Bulls weren't? Even though we had the same record in a much tougher conference.

Makes sense. :mjpls:

:comeon: Bulls ended the 2nd longest streak in nba history, beat the warriors, heat twice, knicks 4x,and almost ended the nuggets streak and ended the knicks streak.

Lakers were like 2-16 vs top 5 seeds in their conference and had to comeback down 20 to The BOBCATS TWICE and took miraculous finishes vs teams like the hornets and raptors :snoop:.They were trash

well he should have signed a cheaper contract then

kobes deal is taking up like almost half of the cap and he has the nerve to complain

he has one more year on his deal, lets see if he signs a cheap deal if he really wants that 6th ring

gms get paid millions of dollars to sit in a comfy chair and figure shyt out, mitch better figure shyt out

the nba salary cap is very easy to manipulate

between rookies being stuck on slave deals for 4 years and teams being allowed to go over the cap for players that they have the bird rights for, kobe's salary is no excuse for lakers management to not continue to add talent to that squad

if they dont keep dwight they can dump nash for an expiring, let kobe rest all year, tank and come back with a top pick in the draft and 65 mil in cap room.

lol at team bron

you say "kobe has dwight, nash and pau"

then u say bron has half a wade and soft bosh

dwight was hurt all year, so was nash and pau is softer than bosh. lets keep it consistent.

Trying to find another way to word this...AMNESTYING KOBE WOULD NOT GIVE THE LAKERS CAP ROOM TO SIGN ANYBODY...they'd still be capped out...they can give Dwight a max deal because he's currently on the roster and they own his rights...but there's no way they can sign CP3 or any other player of note in free agency, unless they're gonna sign for the MLE...

So all it would take is for Houston to spend the entirety of their cap space this summer absorbing Pau's 20 mil contract as their big offseason acquisition and CP3 taking less money and less years on what's almost certain to be his last max contract

nikka that shyt is fan fiction...so I'll repeat for the 3rd time AMNESTYING KOBE WOULD NOT GIVE THE LAKERS CAP ROOM TO SIGN ANYBODY

People still don't understand how the CBA or Salary Cap works. Look, it doesn't matter if Kobe makes 30 mil or 20, we can't sign worthwhile free-agents with our salary cap. Both Kobe and Pau's contracts would have to be cut and at that point you are in rebuilding mode.

if everyone is 100% healthy then kobe had the best cast in the league

that wasn't the case though, lebron had more help this year without question

the lakers never had more than 2 of their big 4 guys healthy at the same time

dwight was playing at 75% or less the entire year
nash missed 32 games and was injured when he was playing
gasol missed 33 games and was injured when he was playing
jordan hill missed 53 games
steve blake missed 30 games

One of the saddest things to see, when an athlete can't face reality. And I always love how it's always about him, and his quest to get more rings than MJ. Dude have should've played an individual sport, so fukking annoying, having to deal with an individual like him in a team or group situation.
