I don’t really want to explain to you the dynamics of those Lakers teams again.

But if you want to act like 6/24 was leading a bunch of bums, have at it.
You don’t have to explain any dynamics, you never did. What does 6/24 have to do with my to response to your post? You posted like Kobe never led his team to the finals. News flash, he won 2 of 3 as the LEADER of those teams. So here you are a decade later questioning him not passing the ball and riding his team. Even in his death yall dudes still post bullshyt about him. Your posts made absolutely no sense.

I didn’t question anything. Reread the post.

Kobe a GOAT not goin against him per se but I think this is a bit overkill in a way of thinkin

I’d understand if dudes showin up late and missing practice etc. but u don’t kno wat work nikkas puttin in when u not around

to me it jus sounded like he didn’t respect certain teammates and felt like they wasn’t worthy of takin some shots he could cuz he knew wat his work ethic was

nonetheless still great to tap into the mind of a man who did it all in his profession
Facts

That shyt is a job at the end of the day - there’s nothing wrong with showing up 10 minutes early to practice and leaving when the designated practice time is over.

Not everyone is was obligated to be as overkill dedicated to basketball as Kobe :yeshrug:

It’s not like dudes weren’t doing what they were supposed to, that’s self sabotage to cut em off for not going above and beyond some invisible arbitrary standard IMO

And that’s perfectly fine part of him being an elite among elites is accepting and working around that

No question Kobe had great work ethic.
At the same time, as a leader it is your responsibility to pull your teammates into giving the effort and focus necessary to win. That’s what MJ said about Steve Kerr and the other Bulls who weren’t there for the 1st three-peat in the documentary. Phil Handy at the end of that clip said Kobe rode his teammates hard and I hope that’s what he meant by it - to drag them a bit closer to his level. Because not passing to and not respecting teammates is a different thing altogether.

That’s questioning. “I hope that’s what he meant by it”. That’s exactly what happened, that’s how they won. Didn’t you see the games? The finals interviews after they won? The responses by his teammates? The responses by Kobe and Phil?[/QUOTE]

Damn...I'm not a basketball fan but I was a Kobe fan.

So much respect for how hard he worked. Ish is inspiring. I'm trying to build my body up. His work ethic is motivating me to go extra hard.
Not so much like him, per se, but to push myself beyond my tiredness, test my limits. It's gonna pay off.

Tryna do 50 more pushups and situps before bed now lol...

Rest in Peace to a true beast! The great ones think differently

Yes and no.

They signed up with Kobe knowing who he was. Championship or bust.
Also this is a job with a finite goal. Win a 'chip. It's different from showing up to work every day and just move numbers. This is entertainment not insurance papers.

So if I'm and owner/player who wants something and knows I need a certain amount of effort to get it then I do what needs to be done. If not, they can play for Burger King or the Wizards.

You don't sign up for Harvard and participate at a community college level.
