Kobe wasn't hyper efficient with Shaq drawing all the attention in the world but he suddenly gonna start being Durant?

Curry was averaging 24/8/4 when throwing up 17 shots a game with a 23 year old Klay and David Lee as his 2nd and 3rd option.

You don't think he could average 30 PPG with 27 shots and losing in the first round to Steve Nash? Lmao
Damn y’all always bring up efficiency :mindblown:

How come players current and past never bring that shyt up:mindblown:

I swear I never heard that shyt talked about by fans until Lebron

Curry is not a better NBA player than Kobe Bryant, Idaf what the %s say.

Curry is a 47% career fg shooter...that number will go down as he progresses in age. Kobe is a career 45% shooter.

Curry is a better shooter than Kobe, he is NOT a better basketball player. And I say that as a person who would always bytch about Kobe's shot selection.

Ya muthaphukas smoking crack if you think Curry is a better NBA player than Kobe.

I'm out this goddamn thread.

Imagine using FG% to dictate the efficiency of elite 3 point shooters :mjlol:

Imagine weighing 3 pointers and 2 pointers the same :mjlol:

Michael Redd's "statistics" line up with those cherry picked Kobe numbers.

26.7 PTS , 3.7 REB, 2.3 AST, 1.2 STL, .586 TS%, .5BPM, .145,

Does that mean they are comparable talent or skill wise? Of course not. Only white people overrate statistics and try to paint it as the whole picture. Keep cooking with this troll thread tho :pachaha:

I swear one of the best arguments for this board being secretly white is how much these guys talk about efficiency.

Because efficiency matters? Who is a better scorer? The guy who takes 30 shots to score 35 points or the guy who take 17 shots to score 30 points? :dwillhuh:

Y'all realize what set Kobe apart from other elite SGs was his efficiency because he's pretty damn efficient for his volume?

Lebron, Durant, and such just supercharged it.

Y'all acting stupid but most of the people on the top ten list are hyper efficient for their era and volume. Jordan, Shaq, Wilt, Lebron, Larry, etc.

Who the fukk would rather have a player who takes more shots to score the same amount or less points? :jbhmm:

I respectfully disagree. I'm of the opinion that if you surround Curry with trash players, something Klay nor Green have never been, his efficiency would go down.

Feel free to have the last word.
I don't think you quite understand how Curry scores his points. Draymond isn't a perimeter threat, the fact you'd even bring him up in relation to Curry's scoring tells me all I need to know.

Do you think your King Lebron thinks Curry is a better scorer than the less efficient Kobe :mjlol:

Did you just use FG% for a player who shoots 10-11 threes a game? :dead:

It'd be really helpful if the span the guy stated as Kobe's peak was actually mentioned (i.e. '06-'10 or whatever). I finally found the years he's referring to (2003-2007 for those interested) but damn if that wasn't confusing. And also a weird span to pick, both in length and in the years he actually picked. Always thought of peak as a single season and Kobe's peak as somewhere around '08-'10. To each their own :yeshrug:

Anyways, turns out Curry created a higher percentage of his shots off the dribble than Kobe did... the stat that covers this if you're looking at BKref is "Ast%" which is the percentage of shots they were assisted on.

(Career)

Curry: Ast% = 31.0%
Kobe: Ast% = 34.7%

(Five-year peak)

Curry ('14-'18): Ast% = 33.3%
Kobe ('03-'07): Ast% = 35.6%
Bu-bu-bu :mjpls:

Outside of his numbers retirement, Kobe Bryant is a figment of the coli imagination. Nobody’s begging Kobe to make a comeback, nor really wondering how he’d be in todays nba at 25. When MJ retired in 1993, there were a malaise over the league and nobody moved on. With Kobe, we good. League moved on and got more popular.
