yes, due to playing alongside shaq, kobe didn't get the defensive attention that a player of his calibre deserved

but let's not act like shaq was guarding timmy all game during those matchups. timmy wouldnt have played nearly as well as he did vs. the lakers if his primary matchup wasn't robert fukkin horry

Shaq was either on Duncan or Robinson, while Kobe had his hands full with snipers Derek Anderson and the savvy Antonion Daniels, both very elite SGs :dead:

Kobe was being guarded by Bruce Bowen and Ginobli in their primes . Duncan was being guarded by Horry :mjlol:

tbh that makes it more impressive that Kobe’s record against Timmy is 18-12 :wow:

Don’t forget the ageless wonder Terry Porter
:deadmanny:

That’s the spurs fault for not supplying the SG position, the 2000s was very low on quality in general so if we chastising Kobe for playing lower quality SG/SF then Wade lebron and everybody else who faced that same competition should be chastised as well but let’s be real, we celebrate the negatives of Kobe and run to the excuses for the positives. Plain and simple Kobe the spurs killer. Even pop knows that

So now the league was shyt :dahell:

The east was guard heavy, and the West was big heavy.

Kobe went off against lower tier SGs in the West, while getting outplayed 2 years straight by formidable SGs in the finals in the east. Why couldn't he be the packers killer aganist Reggie, or the sixers killer against AI. He had to play defense :manny:
