Many people dismiss Kobe's first 3 titles completely (which we all know is ludicrous), simply because he played with Shaq.
So I figure, why not just compare Kobe's 3 finals without Shaq to Lebron's 3 finals head to head
Fair right?
Kobe 2008: Kobe plays out of his skull, gets double or triple teamed literally every time he touches the ball, and still managed to will his team to 2 wins Vs 3 Hall of Famers in their primes, with Gasoft and Odom doing disappearing acts. [Team did NOT have home court advantage]
Lebron 2011: Averaged 3 points in the 4th quarter per game (the worst for any MVP in history) and had a historic choke job / failure on a stacked team NOBODY thought would lose. [Team DID have home court advantage]
Kobe 2009: Won in 5 games with 1 Allstar teammate
Lebron 2012: Won in 5 games with 2 Allstar teammates
Kobe 2010: Played great for 6 games, and put on a ridiculous performance in Boston Garden (that they only lost because he had no help from his team). Had a tough time in Game 7, but still managed to grab a bunch of rebounds to help secure the chip.
Lebron 2013: Choked in 3 of the 6 games but got bailed out by the opposing coach making some of the worst coaching decisions in sports history, and by a teammate hitting a last second 3 pointer. (Fact, even the NBA knew the game should've been over as they brought the trophy out early). *Was also famously stifled by Boris Diaw, and left wide open to take jumpers throughout the series*
It's no contest really... The Peyton Manning of the NBA...
