2 scoring titles in 20 years because he rarely scored more than his peers. He was just a high volume chucker who had terrible games that got swept under the rug. I remember a game against the Spurs (during his miraculous 40 point streak) where took 40 shots to get 40 points.

Jordan managed to score 40 against every team in the league by 1991.

No size though. Haven't had any real size since Lamar Odom. We got guards, always had guards, but no bigs. I guess we could count Moses Brown and Mohammed Bamba, but I'll believe it when I see it. I live in LA now and when a kid is Mr. Basketball in California, you know they are going League, not so much in NYC anymore. Hell Hamidou has been playing in Connecticut the last three years for HS basketball. I know he plays for the NY Rens in AAU, but still.

Facts. Nick Richards going to Kentucky is good, but he's no Anthony Davis. I'm just not sold with him. I think what you said about Hami lies the problem. Almost every NY kid end up leaving for prep powerhouse, killing the foundation of the PSAL. CHSAA still does its thing, but it's not like back in the days.

I won't say gentrification but the fact that kids don't play in the parks like that anymore. Around my way, if you didn't have a handle, you was a lame. It used to be block vs block, park vs park. That doesn't exist.

NYC still got some up and coming killers though. Shamorie Ponds for St Johns, Rawle Alkins for Zona, Isaiah Washington, Hamidou Diallo etc. It's just that we need for them to kill in the league. Whitehead is starting to look good for the Nets. We need that.
We having a renaissance breh :blessed:

Shamorie Ponds been killing at St. John's...

Isaiah Washington just committed to Minnesota he had a whole Bleacher Report feature about him...

Jellyfam :mjcry:

Hamidou Diallo going top 5 when he comes out dude has Wiggins athleticism... :whew:

Mohamed Bamba 4th overall recruit in the nation... :wow:

Nick Richards 12th overall recruit in the nation, Kentucky commit :wow:

Brandon Randolph 40th overall recruit in the nation, Arizona commit :wow:

Kemba playing like an All-Star :wow:

McCullough, Whitehead, and Kilpatrick on the Nets :wow:

Moe Harkless is now a solid starting 3 for Portland :wow:

Kyle O'Quinn playing well for the Knicks :wow:

I seen Moses play he's a legit 7-footer but he seemed slow-footed and not that athletic...

Bamba will make the league though he has a massive 7'8 wingspan he's still growing and his wingspan is on that Gobert level. Plus, he's a great athlete...

There's some kids who aren't going to those prep schools a lot of kids now are taking pride in putting on for the city. Hamidou left to get away from distractions and leave LeFrak.

PSAL is trash and NYC high schools are a lot different now than they were in the past.

I don't know about not having size and just having guards we've had some forwards and centers too.

Joakim Noah
Charlie Villanueva
Kyle O'Quinn
Chris McCullough
Moe Harkless
Taj Gibson
Devin Ebanks
Andre Drummond (Mount Vernon)
Lance Thomas
Cleanthony Early
Renaldo Balkman

Word, Rod Strickland is from the Bronx as was Kyrie's pops Drederick.

They even got the Kyrie Strickland league on St. Ann's out here in the summer.

Ben Simmons pops is from the BX too.

Honorary NY nikkas :mjpls:

Isaiah and all the Jellyfam kids bringing that flair back. Rucker, Dyckman, West 4th all been lit. Seen a young nikka do a 360 finger roll at the Rucker. Isaiah out here hitting nikkas with shamgods and bouncing the ball of nikkas faces, is in and out dribble is crazy.
