-Your post makes the assumption that ancient hunters never got cramps
-The benefits of electrolyte replenishment is not a marketing gimmick, it is a scientific fact. If you are dehyrdrated and have to go to the hospital for an IV, they do not hook you up to a tube of tap water. They feed you electrolytes and water.
