IMO, when you have $200-$300 hundred million dollars in the bank and have not a care in the world, you can either go balls to the wall in insane dedication to ur craft....or you can get complacent and lazy. That's the difference in dudes like Kobe, Peyton Manning, multiple others we dont hear about, and the average athlete who does just enough to get by.

Everybody can't be Kobe or MJ, but they can better than they are. Remember that playoff game against Utah when Kobe just came in the league.....he came in the game confident/cocky as hell and proceeded to put up 3 airballs. I've never seen anyone airball that many shots in an NBA game....I've also never seen anyone score 81, either.

Like I said, Kobe was just a very good athlete....NEVER did he have elite athleticism. He has the same "ups" as Paul Pierce had in his prime:childplease:

I cant buy this list tho. Paul Pierce has the same vert as Desmond Mason? And only 2 inches than a prime Shawn Kemp?

Until then, the list stands.

All that work this summer just for the 9th seed :skip:

Like Metta or Chris duhon doing 800 layups, let along 800 shots... Lol. Too bad the rest of the team don't have his work ethic.

We ain't gotta hate or throw salt all the time. Give credit where its due ock.

I remember him sayin in some interview with Stephen A Smith a couple of years back that he only sleeps 3-4 hours a night. :merchant:

I believe it.

I have to be at work at 4:30 a.m. ... and I'll get here and see Kobe on twitter after a game thinking, ":leostare: how are you not sleep after playing 36 minutes?"

Jordan with a 48 inch vertical :childplease:

what a nonsense list.

here is the truth, Kobe was an elite athlete among NBA players, but he was not separated from the McGradys and Vinces unlike the owner of an inept basketball franchise in Charlotte and a deadbeat dad was over his peers.

And vertical leap is not the judge of athleticism.

MJ stans must have made that list.

At 6'6", MJ with a 48" vert could get the top of his head 6 inches above the rim. GTFO

EDIT: MELO WITH A 41" VERT?!?!?!?!?!?! LMAOOOOOOOO :dead: :laff: :russ:

LMAO at you thinking other people work as hard as he does. Show me proof that other players work as hard as he does. Show me articles from random people talking about that player's work ethic, dedication, and drive like Kobe has. So if other players work just as hard as he does then why don't you see a lot of players improve their game and be able to still play way past their prime at an efficient level? The fact is Kobe loves the game and dedicated his life to the game while others view basketball as a job. You got guys like Jamal Crawford and Lamar Odom who are vets in the league, but don't even practice. Crawford admitted he never practiced shooting until this past summer. Then a guy like Odom who never reached his potential because he never committed himself to basketball. If other guys worked like Kobe then a lot of them would've not been out of shape last season after the lock out.

Sure, they work hard, but there is a difference when a much older player, past his prime, has a lot of achievements, and was the best player in the league for years still works harder than some of the best current players.
Don't change what I said.
Karl Malone-27pts 10 reb. 3ast.
Patrick Ewing-22 pts. 10 reb. 2ast.
Michael Jordan-28 pts 5 rebs. 3ast.
Dominique Wilkens-24 pts 6 reb. 6ast.
Drexler-18pts. 6rebs 2ast.
Gary Payton-20pts 4rebs. 8 ast.
Steve Nash-15pts 3 rebs. 9ast.
John Stockton -14pts 2rebs. 10ast.
Hakeem-23pts 9rebs 3ast.
Wilt- 23pts. 18 reb. 4ast.

All these players averages are at or close to their career averages.

And I'm not even gonna post the teams success w/said player being the best on their team.

I have no doubt college players practice just as hard, maybe even high school players. Everybody cant go to germany and get ground breaking surgeries:comeon:.But who is gonna write an article about a high school player. Like I said, I lived basketball when I was in my teens.

Its not hard to find articles when its kobe. You stans proly know his laundry schedule. I'm not disagreeing that he could be the hardest working player in the NBA. I'm saying he not the only one to dedicate his life to their craft.

What about Adrian Peterson. Payton manning, doesn't work in the off season? What about weight lifters? Marathon runners triathalon runners, boxers etc.

who are these people "acting" like that?
Read the thread the overall talking points is that Kobe is the only one who works on his game tirelessly and no one else in the world is dedicated to their craft the way he is.

WTF are Bron Stans doing in this thread?:wtb:

Its they job. Remember we are the ones who have persisted. These Bron stans used to be T-Mac stans hatin on Kobe, before that they were Vince Carter stans, and before that they were AI stans.

They've been finding a new nikka to latch onto for the last 17 years in their pursuit of finding someone better than our gawd.

Kobe really is Jesus and these Bron stans be Jews denying their lord. :myman:
