One early idea was to develop a prequel to Mass Effect, set during the First Contact Wars of the series’ lore, when the humans of Mass Effect’s galaxy had interacted with aliens for the first time.

Did a study group on them wanting a sequel or prequel to Mass Effect 3. Of course everyone gonna want a sequel for the aftermath of the Reapers. How fukking stupid were you to not expect that. End up giving a side game that does neither.

What's your basis for that? You mean these guys targeted people that weren't that big of fans of Mass Effect (even though I was a fan)? I challenge you to prove your argument.

U cant get away with the bullshyt bioscum just pulled and they didn't. This game was made for ppl who didn't get into the series until now or are just casual.

First they made this exactly likw DA:I which is dope but really cant work for a ME title. Barely any connection or relevance to the trilogy, it has some but its light so u can be fresh and still know whats going on. fukked up the squad system to streamline the battle system. And most of all I guarantee u the majority of the gamers who like this shyt show never played or didn't really like the og games

I enjoyed the og trilogy. I just don't remember it fondly. I remember playing it and enjoying it, but not to extent where I couldn't enjoy the game being taken in a different direction. You're just making assumptions. You're just taking the fact that the game had some production woes, and attaching sinister motives to the game. I mean seriously. Why would they not cater to fans? I get wanting more casuals to play it, but it's not like ME was ever a truly deep RPG. They always held your hand when it came to inventory, squad management, and overall exploration. Even in that article it talks about how they went away from exploration and geared it more towards action. So I dont agree with your assertion that the game failed because they attempted to "dumb it down" in some way. No I think the game ultimately failed because, like someone mentioned, they tried to release a triple A title in essentially 18 months. And when you play the game it shows. Even still, I think it's a testament to those teams, because even in failure, I still felt like they have a solid title. It just falls short in some key areas.

And how exactly did they fukk up the squad system? Off the top of my head, the only thing I remember that changed, is that in ME:A I could no longer administer medigel to my teammates. I remember being able to do that in the past. Instead you have to go revive downed party members. Maybe there were other things, but I hadn't played ME since I beat the 3rd one years ago, so I can't recall everything.

I never even touched andromeda because I always felt uneasy about the whole thing.

EA and it's "Hollow" ass games yet again. I swear, they come up with a solid idea and hardly ever polish it enough for it to be truly all that it could be.

Mirror's Edge I thought was a very important franchise for several reasons:
Parkour/Art was unique
Female protaganist that could be developed for several generations. Not on Lara Croft's level, but not much in this space to challenge those 2 (if it was done correctly).
It challenged the first person view in where you are not holding a weapon most of the time, the very idea of Mirror's Edge in VR is both crazy and frightening at the same time @Ciggavelli would have probably lost it :wow:

I been completing the og trilogy since ME3 every year, now this garbage not even close. I did 2 planets and just put it down because it was so damn boring. Not even the piff gameplay could save this shyt. The enemt variety, shytty menu screens, scanning, very very bland teammates who u dont care about, the r&d bullshyt. There's more but damn how the fukk do u let imo one of the dopest franchises get treated like a Cosby rape victim?

man the first ME you started up the game and you meet ashley a few min in, you see saren it just DRAWS YOU THE HELL IN

all the backstories everythign just interwined perfectly
