nah it's top 50 hip-hop album for sure, let's not go crazy

but even calling it the quintessential west coast hip-hop album would be ridiculous. As an LA dude when I think of LA hip-hop Rhythmalism or Dogg Food comes to mind before TPAB
Between jay-z, nas, wu, outcast, Mobb deep.. and more.. so many better albums... Ground breaking albums... What the FUKK did tpab inspire???

have you heard The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady by Charles Mingus?

If not, you're in for a treat. :whew:
I already did. Love the album, I consider it to be an expression of the human experience. But I wouldn't call it perfect. I actually think blues and roots is a better album

What the FUKK did tpab inspire???
Prince last album
David Bowie last album
Herbie Hancock claiming he'll spend years trying to craft TPAB PART 2
Beyonce
...
(and the list goes on)

LA jazz post 2015

(and the list goes on)
This is of course, on top of being the highest rated rap album ever, and on top of being better than all the albums you mentioned too :manny:

at the very least, Saba's Care for Me and Schoolboy Q's Blank Face which are both 2010's classics. You could argue TPAB inspired Anderson Paak's Malibu too

def made jazz rap more palatable to the mainstream over the last 10 years

Influenced a bunch of GOAT musicians and artists too, including David Bowie's BLACKSTAR - thats not my word, thats a claim from Bowie's producer himself

Using Drake defeat to insult hip hop...smmfh ......and worst is... Gkmc so much better
You're the only one insulting hip hop here. Tpab is much better than gkmc, much much better, and I'm saying this as someone that listens to gkmc more :manny:

gkmc is a masterpiece in its own right, but it might not be a top 3 kenny album

Purgatory
I skimmed the first album.. its a futuristic sound for when it was recorded. It's LSD use music.. its ok

On Darkside of the moon now.. always thought this was their consensus best album since it's always on T shirts..

Its cool so far
Those that know like "The Wall" more
