all my favs wrote their own shyt. pipper used to take with him a small pocket book and write little lines came up with the 'kick ass, and chew bubblegum' shyt like that. jake did the same, lenny talked about how macho used to work on his promos very hard. hbk mother said he lost his smile, and then hbk cut that lost his smile moment. honky tonk talked about twisting country rock lyrics for his promos and the list goes on.

its a shame rock isnt on that list of greats but he ran off hype after 2000, his novelty kicked in way earlier than austin but austin was just always better screen time. while rock tries too hard now i see why after the early rock days i stopped fcking with him, i see he let others dictate his character.

just after the nation of domination was when rock was cool not corny.

lol how is it a shame. You could ask every single person on that "list" and they would surely rank him up there with them.

Rock may not make your personal list, but in no way is the guy not in their league because he did things a tad different.

im just talking pro wrestling not extra curricular acts even though the movie pain&gain was dope :banderas:

the rest is opinions, i have always found therock corny but now he is not solely to blame, the legends did their own shyt but the rock cant claim this.
Lets not try to use this to discredit his promo slkills he is still top 2 to me, IDGAF what anyone says, when he spoke I listened.. you can get all technical and say guys like Jake or dusty was great for XYZ reason but the rock controlled the live crowd and delivered his promos better than anyone not named SCSA

Why would I watch someone improvise? That's like getting half the product. Wwf was great because of the writing

Wwe is whack now because the writers are trash and wrestlers have no charisma

Attitude era:banderas:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
:why:

Okay, expect a stage actor to improvise during The Lion King or Hamlet and if they can't, they suck. That's the logic people are running with here. Absurd.
a STAGE actor would be able to... that's why they are stage actors.. that's why they tend to shyt on and look down on movie/tv actors.. that's why a lot of english stage actors are taking the roles that used to go to americans

cause performing and being able to improvise through anything live, is seen as a more difficult task to perform than "cut, lets do it again"

I don't see why this should matter to anyone. Actors don't get shyt on for not being able to go off script and make a great scene out of it. Would anyone expect Tommy the Green Ranger to improvise a great scene? If not, then don't expect it out of wrestlers, either.

Because people idolize wrestlers far beyond the green ranger. The wrestling not being real already broke their hearts once, if a Rock stan finds out the lines were planted too, then now he's just a b-list actor with charisma.

.

That's what all greats are, though. Wrestling is a B-list genre of entertainment

that's being highly generous

If "b-list" actors can make the most money in hollywood then thats waht you you should strive to be. fukk a A-list, b-list is where the money is.

smh
