The alcohol problem led to the inconsistency to his lyrics from around 98 or so on. The Kuruption album was the first example of this, some tracks he blacked out on and others he seemed like he was drunk. :mjcry:

nikka you want war? Yeah right, I'm mic sky like stiletto
Holocaust to high school, roscoe to Vasco
Impossible lives the hospitalized
Franchise strip nikkas is broke for ranches mansions avalanches
Alarms ring cause harm in court
Like platinum and gold
I've sold a whole, explosions hit explode implode
Popped out bodies dropped off on Rider's road
I've seen and foreseen the unseen
And able hardly able to separate the myths from fables
I'ma buy a Baltic while you purchase fireplaces
Poisonous supply and occupy in space

its best not to consult Genius.com for lyrics, they're almost always incorrect

the correct lyrics
You want war/yeah right/Iron Mike/skylight stiletto/
holocaustal/hostile Roscoe tabasco
impossible I, to hospitalize
franchise, strip ligaments broke like branches
mansions/avalanches/alarms ring
cause harm is brought
like platinum and gold, I sold on hold
explosions hit, explore, implode
popped off, bodies dropped off and riders rolled
ive seen and foreseen the unseen and able
hardly able to seperate the myth from fables
ima buy Baltic, while you purchase park place
poison it's supplies and occupy space
the midnight can hide the dark until the spark light up the night
nothing unseen a sight/ima cross the finish line with both legs broken
both coasts broken/both toast's smokin

this might actually be one of Kurupts best verses of all time, the wordplay, metaphors, analogies and double meanings on this verse are insane, the problem is Kurupt can go over peoples heads quite often, heres a quick breakdown:"you want war? yeah right/iron Mike" hes saying his skill rapping is equivalent to mike Tysons skill boxing
"skylight stiletto" skylight roof you look out from to see constellation of stars at night, stilleto is a reference to the constellation stiletto shoe thats encrusted in diamonds and costs over a quarter million dollars, hes keeping with the space theme at the same time saying his flow is expensive or high class
"hostile roscoe tabasco" is a shoutout to his little brother Roscoe who is often referred to as Roscoe tabasco cause his flow is hot like tabasco sauce
"like platinum and gold I sold on hold" is a pawn shop reference you take your jewelry and put it in pawn, its sold but on hold for a certain amount of time so you can pay back what you were given plus a penalty and get your jewelry out of pawn before its sold to the general public
now this is where kurupt proves hes lightyears ahead of any other rapper lyrically
"ive seen and foreseen the unseen and able" is a set up bar for several bars later when he says "nothing unseen, a sight, ima cross the finish line with both legs broken" so hes already seen the future, he foresees that even with both legs broken which would be considered a disability hes still able bodied enough to cross the finish line, nothings unseen because he had a sight (past tense) where he had already foreseen the unseen several bars earlier.
Kurupt is always deliberate and precise in his rhymes, people just dont always catch on right off the bat.

I can play both discs damn near front to back, but never one after the other, the west coast disc i bump front to back, the east coast disc I only skip tracks 9 and 10, I will say after the first listen or two to either of the discs the long ass skits and interludes become really annoying, he should've made the skits as separate tracks so theyre easier to bypass.

I had enough out of my wages for bus fare to go buy this the day it came out. That meant get a bus, buy the album and walk 10 miles home. I had to then walk an extra 6 to get it because that shop didn't have it.

Worth every penny...

Yup, the problem with Genius.com is anybody can just edit the lyrics how they hear it, the annotations are even worse sometimes, cause then you have people interpreting lyrics that aren't even correct. Daz lyrics on Genius are really out of whack lol. Regardless, even Kurupt himself said the problem with this album was how hard the label pushed for singles and for him to collab with stuff that was poppin at the time, hence tracks like "It's Over" and the collabs with Limp Bizkit memebers. Slimmed down its an incredible album but left as is it has a handful of skips, at least IMO.

Album had a few bangers but suffered because Kurupt tried to go commercial on Space Boogie. Streetz is the pinnacle of Kurupt's discography.
