Why Dak Prescott's knee injury doesn't change Dallas Cowboys' game plan vs. LA Rams

Jori Epstein, USA TODAY Published 6:12 a.m. ET Jan. 10, 2019

"FRISCO, Texas — Dak Prescott zigzagged right then left, right again then left again. He cut each direction one more time on third-and-14 with 2:33 to play in the Cowboys wild-card win over the Seahawks.

Then he somersaulted into the end zone, his elbow officially down just short of the goal line.

Prescott also cut his thigh on Seahawks safety Tedric Thompson’s helmet.

The result: the always-available Cowboys quarterback popped up on the practice report with a knee injury this week as Dallas prepared for a divisional round trip to visit the Los Angeles Rams. He practiced full each day with what Cowboys coach Jason Garrett described as a knee sprain, with Prescott clarifying as a thigh cut. He wore a sleeve on his knee for extra protection."

Cowboys: Dak Prescott’s knee sprain won't alter game plan vs. Rams

Didn't Seattle get fined for letting Russell Wilson play when he was clearly concussed. :heh:

Seahawks fined $100K for violating concussion protocol, letting Russell Wilson play

Y'all nikkas just be saying shyt. :mjlol:

That's on the coaches and he started the week after that so what does this prove?:gucci:

Since you want to google things look up how many starts Russell Wilson has missed in his career and reply back with the answer

All you showed is that football players get hit. He's been playing the game for years so I think he's accepted that reality. You guys who keep bringing up health are speaking from your perspective. You don't want 6'5" 260lb guys chasing/hitting you. If a kid has made his way through D1 I don't think getting injured is something they fear.

Nothing is guaranteed in baseball. He’ll have to work his way up the minor leagues. IF he makes the league he then deals with arbitration and won’t be a free agent until like 28. And teams are no longer giving 10 year a rod like contracts to dudes close to 30

His skill set is perfect for today’s NFL and qbs are more protected than ever. He’ll be a top 10 pick and bank about 15 mill after 4 years. After rookie contract is over about 90% he gets a contract extension at 26 for AT LEAST 30 mill guaranteed (likely more). Then good chance he gets 2 more contracts at 30 and 34. Also way more endorsement opportunities being a starting nfl QB who’s a dynamic athlete. If dude ends up on the giants with quan and Odell :wow:

Easy decision

Do you think that's the only concussion Russell and the Seahawks hid from the NFL. :mjlol:

Breh are you really this stupid. :mjlol:

NFL have the shortest career span out of all major professional sports. :mjlol:

Dudes thinking he really going to be Rickey Henderson or Kirby Puckett in baseball is dreaming

He could spend his entire career in the minors and reach the majors for a minute and don’t receive the pay u guys talking

If he already spoken to scouts and he’s looking at first round status why not.. plus get a few endorsement deals along the way...

Wish homie the best tho

Facts.

Shyt gets tiresome on here. Yes, we get it, football is a violent and dangerous sport. Nobody in the league today is unaware of the risks they're taking.

If you can't stomach the game, find another sport to follow.

This is where Kyler Murray would be playing baseball:
Pohlman_-_Exterior_Close_V2T.jpg

A small town in Wisconsin with a population under 40,000, nothing but cacs, and nothing stays open after 7pm. He'll be riding a dusty bus around the country and may never see the majors.

Meanwhile he can play football in NY:

or possibly Denver, or Miami. He'll be a star from jump and have endorsements before taking a snap. If he's a viable starter he'll re-up for 20 mil per in three years.

But here on the coli all baseball players get 20 mil despite the numbers that say otherwise:mjlol:

We were saying in the other thread that there's more money in football:comeon:

Lol I been knew this. If he wanted to play baseball tbh he wouldn't have even played football this season.

And ya'll talking about baseball money. If he played baseball there's a decent chance he'd be in the minors forever not doing anything:aicmon: Plus, baseball owners are trying to regulate/kill those huge contracts

And he can make WAY more as a superstar NFL QB, and make more than his A's contract as a journeyman backup QB:heh:

Assuming he actually does choose football, this may be part of the reasoning. MLB GMs/owners have spent the last off-season and a half driving salaries down by just waiting players out in a case of fairly blatant collusion. There's absolutely no way both Machado and Harper last until mid January with no team in a traditional market. If you're a young player that looks at that along with the games these teams play with service time, and the arbitration system meaning you can't actually negotiate a fair deal until you're 28-30, with another viable option on the table, you'd be dumb not to work both avenues for any leverage you can find.
