Kyrie doesn't get enough credit

25/5/4 in 32 minutes shooting 49% from the field, 41% from three, and 89% from the line. 61% TS. Leading the league's best offense since the all star break (and have been a top 5 offense with him on the floor damn near all year, while being literally the worst in the league with him off). His 2nd leading scorer is a 2nd year player averaging 14 points a game. Leading one of the youngest teams in the league to a top 4 record overall.

How on Earth is that not an MVP candidate? Easily better than Rose's MVP season, better than both of Nash's, and arguably better than Steph's first one. Harden will get it with his inflated numbers in D'Antoni's system, but Kyrie doesn't have nearly the talent around him and is on a much younger team yet isn't that far behind record wise. Lately nikkas have been coming out of the woodwork calling guards like Lillard, Derozan and even Lowry better than him despite him having by far the superior season. Dame has a comparable supporting cast, and is putting up worse PER 36 numbers on worse efficiency. Derozan is having by far his most efficient season, and he still isn't close to Kyrie there. He's averaging less points, assists, and about the same rebounds as Kyrie in more minutes. Lowry has a much better supporting cast and is nowhere near Kyrie statistically. Kyrie has been no worse than the 3rd best PG in the league this year and a top 5 guard overall.

He's playing with a 4 time all star in his backcourt. A veteran front line in Ibaka/Valanciunas, and a guy who's been there a few years in Norman Powell. They have much more continuity than the Celtics. The Raptors don't rely on 1st and 2nd year players to the extent the Celtics do. Kyrie's 2nd and 3rd leading scorers just turned 20 and 21. None of the young players in Toronto are asked to be more than role players. Not remotely comparable situations.

Regardless, Kyrie's numbers are clearly better than Derozan's. And his team isn't that far behind despite having less talent. Really don't see Derozan's argument over him.

A lot of analytics head think it's Horford team
I notice how involved Horford is when I watch the Celtics but it's hard to quantify things like positioning , spacing, hockey assists and other things that he does.

Kyrie for all his flash doesn’t get credit for his bbiq...he just doesn’t take dumb shots or force stuff. He’s patient and plays within the flow of the game. Therefore his efficiency is really good.

You rarely see that from young players, I mean this dude probably has a top 3 scoring skill set in the league but his scoring eruptions aren’t as huge as you’d think a guy with his skill should have.

He only has 2 50 point games. A guy like lillard has almost 3 times that...and realistically Kyrie is the better scorer. But he rarely goes into gunner mode

You dont see it because ur lying to urself...talent is about even between the two teams...Norm Powell has been a non factor all year,he doesnt even play anymore.
Jonas is meh with a few good games sprinkled in same as Ibaka...DeRozans stats are bout the same as Kyries including advanced and thats with less usage...

Raptors continuity is 3 players and Ibaka who arrived last February...Again you dont want to see the case for him cuz youve convinced urself it doesnt exist.
