:mindblown:

what the fukk are you talking about? Just do the world a favor and kill yourself.

:childplease: too scared to even continue sucking this nikka off. End of the day, kyries shot > Kobe's shot upon entering the league.

:heh:

And I'm not even into all that "defining level of blackness" stuff. I just can't rock with anyone who automatically assumes that someone from the inner city is supposed to be on some ignorant shyt.

I'm not naive, I definitely understand how someone would have that type of assumption. I've been in different inner cities around the country. Met plenty of good people, who are upstanding citizens. Like every place, there is a small population of fukk ups.

Check out this article: EDITORIAL: Heroin knows no boundaries as it kills - delcotimes.com

It used to be something that happened only in the city.

Not any more.

Heroin is back, and it’s becoming a huge problem, one that no longer recognizes geographical or other demographic boundaries.

Don’t believe us, still think of heroin as a relic from the drug-fueled ’60s and ’70s? Wake up and smell the junk.

You don’t have to take our word for it. Listen to Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan

Read that article in passing. It discusses a heroin epidemic in "nice" areas. You not going to hear about this shyt. Look at the source. Let it be the hood, the media would be like :blessed:

Kyrie’s success will be the latest test. If he can come out of this unscathed, then we might be on to something great. If the crabs drag him back down into their bucket, then it’s more proof that we haven’t yet learned from our mistakes. The inner-city isn’t a place to be embarrassed about, it’s a geographical construct. The mistake is allowing it to become a mental construct, where we somehow punish players who don’t have that history. Finally, that seems to be changing. Used to be that we only wanted players with a certain kind of story, but now, we accept them without the hardship background as an attachment. We’re getting away from penalizing guys and assuming they are soft because they come from money. This archaic notion is on the way out. This deserves a slow clap, so let’s give ’em one.

Did you nikkas read the whole article, or did you just skim through it?

Booker T had the right idea, but the W.E.B. had the "proper" backing.

Article looks like a divide & conquer piece and should be thrown in the bushes......

What you highlighted pretty much reaffirmed the sentiment many said in here.

Who the fukk was "punished" in the first place? No one felt that way about Grant Hill and others who came up from prestigious backgrounds. Dude fronting as if we've outgrown some archaic shyt that he overinflated in the first place, and its corny as fukk.

The only change I've seen is in writers saying there is a change. Black people or cats from the hood are drawn or taken away from certain athletes when when the media is shytting on a dude or overrating a brotha at the expense of others. It's really that simple.

I'll take my L, I did skim :manny:

But even that quote, the writer is talking like every kid from the hood had some crazy "Losing Isaiah" type of upbringing. That's not how it really is in a lot of hoods.
