Monta?

they all about the same height, same standing reach..

look at this

Monta Ellis vs. Kobe Bryant | Basketball-Reference.com

dominated...

this is what happens when you play posting SG...

granted.. i picked the GAWD (i am starting to like Kobe again)

but.. size matters (pause..pause... PAUUUUUUUUUUUSE):scusthov:

Yeah I meant Monta....

anyway, how many shoot guards are there with a post up game like Kobe? How many even have a post up game period? Why are u even using Kobe in the first place?

If they think Waiters can guard 2s and bring the ball up then :manny:

They were doing that before he got hurt and playing Kyrie off ball. It could work, but you would just have to have a big guard next to him that they can use to defend the bigger 2s in the league, and just play Kyrie on the opposing PGs.

I think they honestly picked Waiters to be the James Harden type off the bench.

Kyrie needs a SG that is a strong/big perimeter defender and be a consistent spot up shooter. shyt, if Boobie Gibson was 3 inches taller he would be it.

Waiters/Miles/Zeller off the bench all compliment each other.

plus i was going for starters

but here is a bench player
who scored 30 on him at times..

posting is the mismatch no matter what...

even if the SG is not about posting.. once they play a player much smaller then them.. they will posting..

really its basketball 101

that does nothing to Kyrie's game on offense :what:

Kyrie is going to guard the 1 regardless of who's next to him at the 2

kyrie is my neega..but hes too fragile to play the 2..

technicaly speaking.. its less physical then the 1....

since most SG are just gunners anyway they get only light contacts most of the time...

PG is the toughest to play with his style..going striaght to the basket from feet away of the 3point line should be a SF's job...

all those players keep getting injured : CP3, Rose,Wall, him...

i think he should go SG and the team should get a bulky dude for PG

A Lillard, Westbrook kind of guy.. those are the built for PG nowadays..

league got stronger...its looking a bit like Boxing.. your in the wrong weight class.. you get KTFO

point taken..but his game wouldn't change in the least..he'd still be driving it taking it to the whole getting mollywhopped..just now he would have to guard much stronger 2 guards

which goes back to my previous point... he would get posted on like crazy...

in the end.. those dude are probably playing thier best fit..

its why to me Dwyane wade is so amazing.. yeah he got 3-4 standing reach on Monta.. but also 3-4 under the big shooting guard..

yet he is the current number 2 SG, maybe 1 if he didnt have to share with LBJ this much.

Kyrie is ass on defense. You can't have a back court that is weak at both positions on defense and win consistently.

Lakers won back to back with Fisher, the worst PG defender in recent history and Kobe who stopped playing defense years ago.

Kyrie's assist-to-turnover ratio is ass, so I can see an argument for this.

Dude needs to improve his playmaking ability. If you are going to compare him among the best point guards in the NBA, then he needs to improve that. (basically, he is not an elite point guard but has the potential)

He is also a bad defender.

Personally I would just let dude develop, he hasnt played that much basketball and is still very young.

He's played a combined 75 games total in the NBA and NCAA....him averaging 4 turnovers a game is not alarming. I think those will improve over time with maturity and improved talent around him.

47% from the field. 43% from 3. 83% from the line.

The Cavs are Kyrie or bust on the offensive end. I can live with the selfishness for now.
