No way he actually leaves tho right? Only way I see him leaving is if the Nets straight don’t want him at all anymore
They don’t want him. Sean marks went at him in the end of season press conference

According to Nets general manager Sean Marks, Irving isn’t guaranteed a spot. He discussed the guard’s future at a press conference on Wednesday. NBA writer Brian Mahoney tweeted the news:

“Marks essentially said he wants players that are going to be “available” and want to be part of something “bigger than themselves”.

Without actually saying Kyrie’s name, that was a clear shot at the Nets PG. Irving played just 29 games in 2021-22 after missing substantial time because of his vaccine saga”

Out of those teams I can only see the Lakers, Clippers, Knicks being willing to not only trade for Kylie but also extended him at max dollars

The Knicks would be idiots to max out Kyrie Irving. The Clippers are viable but I don't see Kawhi getting along with Kyrie.

I think the Heat and Lakers make the most sense.

I'm pretty sure they want him to opt in cause it keeps KD put for now and at worst they can move him around the deadline where they will get something good from a desperate team (like the Nets back when they traded for Harden)

This isn't really about the coming year it's about a long term deal

If you wait until the deadline, his trade value decreases significantly as well as the trade options.

No one is giving up multiple 1sts for a half a season of kyrie. Nets should just give him his deal and then trade him if it doesn’t work
