I'm really trying to understand the point of Jew baiting in the first place. What is the goal here? To be able to say bad things about Jews without consequences? It reminds me of how white people get upset about not being able to say the "n word." Like why is that a hill they want to die on so badly?
Great points. Also, just to add. People act like holocaust denial isn't that big a deal (or downplaying how many people were murdered) but it's the same sort of conspiracy theories and bullshyt narratives that Adolph Hitler promoted in the first place that almost got the Jews eradicated. "They control everything. They're the cause of our problems. They're infringing on your freedoms. Etc." They became a targeted group of people in Europe for those exact reasons.
It's crazy to me that people don't see this especially in this day and age. America is on the brink of falling into outright Facism and Authoritarianism. The far right is already targeting minority communities, "othering" them, and blaming them for the ills of modern society. Better believe these groups are on the chopping block if our nation moves farther to the right. The far right in 2022 basically hates everyone that aren't white, Christian men.
People don't get eradicated over night. The path towards genocide is a slow and gradual process, and people can laugh and shrug it off like it's not possible here. But people didn't think it was possible in Germany leading up to WWII either.
And I'm not saying I think there's going to be a genocide in America, but we're in dangerous territory, and
people shouldn't be falling for the bullshyt that's peddled by neo-nazis, white supremacists, facists, and alt-right trolls. Folks like Kyrie and Kanye are allowing themselves to become mouth pieces for the far-right.
Edit: And no, Kyrie didn't "say anything hateful" about Jewish folks, but he promoted a book to millions of his followers that promotes holocaust denial, among other dangerous falsehoods.
Edit 2: BTW if you fall into conspiracy theories, they all end in holocaust denial and JQ bullshyt. A ton of flat earth stuff leads to JQ stuff so I'm not surprised Kyrie ended up here.
