No doubt. Nobody wins championships on their own, and to be such a good sidekick puts him in at least bosch / gasol circles in terms of impact. I wont say wade because it was only one series plus wade is much much more accomplished seperately. Maybe Rip Hamilton would be another good comparison, but that series was quite unique.

At the end of the day, a championship holds far more weight than many other things. Kyrie proved himself on the biggest stage - he could retire today and be content with his career.

Will be interesting to see how he links up with yours truly next season.

Point a lot on this board misses, is dame hasn’t achieved anything - he’s an above average guard and thats it. If you have a license to shoot, its not THAT hard to be a primary scorer on your team and do the things hes done.

Happy for him to prove us wrong this year.

I definitely agree with this...

The Dame love on here has hit unreal levels, because dudes really act like there isn't more damning evidence of him being a choker, its happened far more often than him playing well in the postseason. He's a great player but he is given a certain level of prestige that he really hasn't earned yet, while this board consistently shyts on other guys (including his peers at guard) who are more accomplished in a number of ways...

For Brooklyn, I'm convinced they're gonna find a way to bring in a competent #3. I'm not sure who it will be, but they'll get a third star there, unless the belief is Dinwiddie or Levert can succeed in that role. I think ultimately everything rests with how much of the old KD is left. If he's at least 80% of the old him Nets are title contenders----->but its hard for me to pick them to win right now. Boston will be a year older, Tatum/Brown more experienced and Kemba an extra year of chemistry, that team is gonna be a threat...

As long as Giannis is in Milwaukee, they will at the very least be q great regular season team and a top 2-3 seed. Toronto isn't going anywhere as VanVleet and Siakam continue to mature together...

Kyrie and Durant gonna have their work cut out for them, but if they can stay healthy they will certainly be contenders, its just the field is gonna be packed with younger competitors who are just as hungry...

Watching that in real time was dope, he absolutely bodied Klay repeatedly...

Every single point guard from the so called "golden era of point guards" has been a disappointment. Except for Steph and Paul (arguable)

Wall - career derailed by injury, struggled to make playoffs even when healthy and playing along a top 5 scorer
Lillard - Gets bounced in first round almost every year.
Irving - Couldn't even get his team into the playoffs without Lebron or Durant.
Deron Williams - Had similiar ankle issues to steph, but never overcame and fell off , now been out the league for 5 years even though he only 36 or 37.
Westbrook - Westbrick knickname says everything, at this point he should just be a backup pg unless he's on a shytty team.
Rose - Injuries did him in.
Conley - Ceiling was never as high to begin with, but still failed to live up to expectations.
Thomas - Fell off after the hip injury.
