Wall is clearly the better player when you take into account his playmaking & defense which are Kyrie's two biggest weaknesses as a player. Playing with Bron hides his flaws. Lol at people bringing up Byrie's playoffs like he isn't playing alongside one of the Top 3 players of all time. You think the Cavs get past the first round with him alone? :russ:

Funny how nikkas only use the defense argument when it's with players they DON'T like btw. :sas2:

Kyrie's good but he plays with Lebron James. He has the benefit of playing with the best player on the planet. By himself it was sniffing 22 wins. Wall is a 20 10 guy in an era where we don't have many 20 10 guys

Kyrie can definitely go get you a bucket but Wall's a better player if you were building a team for sure.

I suppose Wall is a "better PG" but I am not sure if that counts in the overall scheme of things

bear with me....Kyrie is an elite scorer who doesnt turn the ball over that much(well at least he didnt in this past playoffs...will have to check his career numbers)

Much better shooter than Wall, midrange and three point...phenomenal finisher at the rim

Can hold his own defensively when he puts in effort but is by no means a lock down guy....

Over dribbles sometimes and somebody earlier mentioned tunnel vision which is ABSOLUTELY TRUE SOMETIMES...

but you can live with that because he is an absolute amazing offensive talent

In the modern nba which would you rather have as your point guard....Elite passing and defense(again this depends on whether you conside Wall an elite passer) or a dynamic shooter/playmaker who is not turnover prone..

I think this comes down to the surrounding pieces

Nah man Kyrie only advantage over Wall is shooting.

And the surrounding pieces? Kyrie has Lebron James on his team and still has low number assist.

Wall continues average 9&10 assist every year with mediocre talent.

Kyrie is just not better than Wall,he's a better fit for Cleveland but not a better player than Wall.

It's Kyrie. People have this thing where they overlook scoring deficiencies with point guards, but his inability to make teams pay in the P&R when they go under every screen daring him to shoot or score 1on1 reliably enough to warrant having the ball in his hands all the time deflates his offensive value by a lot. Not a fan of his horrible turnover rate either as compared to Irving who gets his offense without making as many mistakes. He is not as impactful as the numbers suggest and won't be until he improves his halfcourt game. In the postseason, his game translates much worse than Kyrie's as well. Not buying that the Cavs still win the title if you replaced the two

Defensively he was not nearly as consistent as the previous season and took a lot of possessions off. Just nobody takes note of it because he has a reputation, just like Chris Paul. Not using that to put him over Irving

Lowry is also better than Wall

Kyrie has always been better. I just can't ride with Wall. Talented but he doesn't have the offensive repotire I want in a superstar. I don't know why Kyrie fans still acknowledge this "you mad" bait.

Yea I see where this thread going.

Kyrie can't lead a team to the playoffs as the top guy,Wall can

Now that Kyrie has Lebron and Love y'all forget his shortcomings when he was by himself.

Wall is better than Kyrie

nikka Kyrie ain't better than Wall:russ:

And Lowry damn sure ain't better than Wall :mjlol:

I'd say they are. Not as simple as them being better shooters, they're just more conducive to great offense because they pose a bigger threat to a defense.

Wall gets way overrated when ppl focus on his speed and think he's Westbrook lite when he doesn't have half the scoring talent or takeover ability. Of all the elite PG's he's by far the worst half court scorer

No Wall IS Westbrook lite just minus the scoring and the take over ability,a big extremely athletic guard that can get you 20,10,5 a night while locking up on the other end :dahell: What do you call that?

And no one is overrating Wall, but Lowry and Kyrie have never got a team to the playoffs as the top guy:yeshrug: Lowry has significant help in Toronto and it's debatable some nights if he's even the best player on his team, and everyone knows who's top dog in Cleveland.

Wall biggest help is an injury prone Bradley Beal:stopitslime:

Y'all boys in here tripping. Wait until Wall is surronded by top notch talent :wow:

You replace Wall with Kyrie and the Cavs not as good because of Wall's lack of shooting and scoring struggles in the half court.

Kyrie's best player he played with before bron was dion fukkin waiters

I already said Kyrie is a better fit in Cleveland than Wall.

But that doesn't mean he is better than Wall:martin:

Ok and Wall best player is Bradley Beal, yea he better than Waiters but you acting like he a superstar.

Waiters put up solid numbers as a starter in Cleveland and it was actual debates who was the better backcourt between Kyrie&Waiters or Wall&Beal.

Takeover ability is what makes Westbrook Westbrook though. You get burned disrespecting him like teams do Wall on a regular basis by daring him to take shots that every other great PG would seize the opportunity of. Yeah he's big, but does he post up? Because that's why Westbrook shot 50% from 2 this season. He's not taking full advantage of his size yet.

The 20 Wall scores is inefficient. He should never be averaging that much on a great offense because he's not a great scorer, the 10 assists comes with a bunch of awful turnovers and he's not locking people up. Not really about talent he just needs to be better. Wiz would have been better if he played like the best PG in the conference
