It's just internet posturing. 50% of Black people inside LA and 90% of Black people outside LA wouldn't be able to answer that question either. If you're not affiliated, actively following gang history, or interested in particular personalities in the culture, then you're not going to know the details of what set is what more than 5 miles from your block.

I can't believe cats still talking about how "nice" Cali hoods look. The climate, architecture and geography in Cali is different than the places yall compare it to, that's all it is. It ain't that deep and it's so simple it amazes me that this is still a point of contention for dudes...
The hood is relative everywhere. How it looks based off the stucco homes and palm trees is inconsequential, and like people already mentioned, there are hoods in Chicago, NY, and everywhere else that "look" good...

Yeah i was in a township in cape town and there were parts that looked “nice”
