Lol this thread

“Wayne and Jay Rock and Nipsey ain’t lyrical”

“They’re more lyrical than some other guys”

Yeah but if we’re dropping the bar to where lil Wayne is lyrical, then obviously you could say lyricism is making a come back

Where The Grass Is Blue
Jay Rock has been outrapping Kendrick on tracks since like 2008....and nobody seems to notice.
No doubt, nikkas just get caught up in all of the words and fast flows Kendrick likes to throw out there...but Rock got bars and flows too

From a rap perspective 90059 was just as good as DAMN...DAMN just had better songs and concepts

I remember the Jay Rock hype since his collab with Wayne. Dude just can't create a cohesive album the way Kendrick can.

He's only put out 2 albums to Kendricks 4... it's very easy to put out complete albums when you have all of Interscopes resources at your disposal....and can make music when you feel like it.

But his attempts at making radio singles, simply just didn't work....his most well known song is because of grand theft auto 5.

naw westcoast back first then lyrical will make a return.

westcoast/bay sound is the easier transition from trap music.

if kendrick next album sounds like an old westcoast album that will solidify the return.

should be produced by cardo, quik, sounwave, and terrace martin.
