youre laughing but you live in a right to work state. If youre cost of living werent so low youd do what you had to do. in any major city you need to make 10% more each year just to maintain the same living standard.

nikkas rents go up at least 50 to 100 bucks in most cities. That pretend to work and they pretend to pay you wont wirk in New York. Your boss would fire you and hire a more ambitious petson.

totaly different culture up top. Frankly im surprised that you can work for a financial company that probably makes billions a year and be cool with a bullshyt 2% increase in salary per year

Now this I do agree with….. This company did have profit sharing until like 6 years ago and you still can earn some solid bonuses….. but the majority of the raises will be 2 to 3 percent if you or your manager don’t make a case for a proper raise

“Nobody wants work anymore”

Anytime I hear that I already know what they’re on.

:mjpls:
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuup. Im not feeling that bullshyt at all. Had to check Madukes when she said it a few weeks ago to me. FOH: if you cant afford to pay a living wage, your business sucks.

“How are mom and pops supposed to compete?”

Tax big business and subsidize independent businesses. Folks gonna have to stop thinking it is going to be February 2020 again. shyt is dead.

my ex who was a pastry chef used to run her own business from her home and promoted everything on social media. she was charging big money for some them cakes too. highly stylized cakes.

obviously won't be making what she once was in a brick and mortar due to lower output but if she got the reputation, she ain't gonna be on the streets or anything. :yeshrug:

assuming the owners were actually the talent. :sas2:

:mjlol: so many black folks run their baking business out of their house because the banks refuse to extend business loans.

A black owned bakery down my street only has the baker and a part-time, but he mostly does everything by himself.

It can be done but she wants to cry on tv.
exactly!

Stop the dap fishing. These young folks would rather make money from YouTube, tick tok and gaming.
i believe this is true, but that has nothing to do with the pandemic/people getting unemployment payments/stimulus money etc. which is what i guarantee is what the people in that facebook group are bytching about.

gen z definitely gonna be on some other shyt when it comes to work.

What is the racial makeup of Phoenix AZ?
The 5 largest ethnic groups in Phoenix, AZ are White (Non-Hispanic) (41.4%), White (Hispanic) (35.3%), Black or African American (Non-Hispanic) (6.89%), Other (Hispanic) (5.57%), and Asian (Non-Hispanic) (3.91%).

Chickens coming home to roost. Non-ADOS people can act Progressive and BLM all they want, most are faking it.

I remember the black people are lazy stereotypes from the 2000's. "Get a job N-Word" jokes all day, Mexicans are better workers, etc. Even during 2006-2007 young black teenagers like me couldn't get a callback before the Great Recession, white kids were like "what are you talking about McDonalds is hiring all the time for $10 an hour:duck:"

Harsh, but I don't care.

People forget what happened between 2006 to 2014, when jobs were scarce and employers were doing all kinds of illegal shyt. Serves them right for abusing and taking the employees for granted.

The mom and pop business model might be extinct soon, mom and pop income doesn’t match today’s cost of living. Mom and pop better start giving their employees a bigger piece of the pie or this will be the outcome.

It might be that. nikkas think it's so easy for little businesses to offer higher wages. The responses in this thread are pathetic, as if a regular woman has the ability to compete with corporations on wages

Coli businessmen would be paying their employees 6 figures to work the cash register :francis:
Or will take the climate into account and scale a business so it doesnt suffer from labor shortages to this degree. The problem is the country trends toward shyt service jobs and got conditioned to believe that when one bites the dust, more will come along and we can pay them like shyt. Then, customers are conditioned to have low prices so they can go often and not sacrifice. Americans are conditioned to be cheap and look down on those that serve them cheap goods. Everyone should be looking to make equitable exchanges for goods. Unfortunately big businesses are the measuring stick by which we judge what a small business can deliver.

Solution? Tax big business and incentivize higher wages like the days the top tax rates were higher. If big business cant lord over supply chains, small business might once again be able to compete locally on service AND price, but Americans need to value labor more than commerce itself.

We understand she can’t compete and that is a government issue. Be real: what small business can compete with Amazon? The return policy? Sourcing of goods? Depth of selection? Why was Amazon allowed to get so big that they provide everything from grocery to cloud platforms? Literally nothing the USA has done lately has been to protect small businesses that werent in high margin sectors.
Again, we understand it. The real disappointment is you back a 2021 business paying 2010-level wages.
