Maybe the estrogen you sense comes from the fact that I'm a woman..

Also why use scripture to CUT someone down instead of using it to LIFT someone up..

You obviously have a problem with your manhood, which is a shame. Also, I didn't use scriptures because if you were so "deep" in the bible, the way you put on, you would already know about how Solomon's marriage to pagan wives (According to 1 Kings 11: Solomon's "wives turned his heart after other gods") is what caused him to turn his back on God and resulted in the fall of Israel. You can read this in 1st and 2nd Chronicles and 1st and 2nd Kings. After his reign everything went all down hill from there. God didn't damn the nation while Solomon was still in power because he loved Solomon's father (David) so much.

1 Kings 11:30-34
And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods. But he did not keep what the Lord commanded. Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, "Since this has been your practice and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. However, I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem that I have chosen.

A reverenced queen in the bible? Read 1 King 10:1-? Where the Bible mentions the Queen of Sheba coming to witness Solomon's wisdom.

It's ignorant of you to ask me to discuss reverenced Queens of the bible because we can probably count one hand how many queens were actually mentioned in the Bible. I will admit that I have only read as far as Isaiah so far. How far have you read?

There are plenty of righteous women in the bible if you just expand your mind and try to read up on them

I can comprehend parables, but if you will read that chapter of Job in the Bible, you will see that the speaker is speaking very literally. You have put your own distorted views on the Bible in an effort to belittle women. It's very transparent friend..

The verse that you quoted from Corinthians was only directed at the Corinth church. Please actually read the Bible son. Your thinly veiled hatred is showing.

And regarding the verse about "man being more than gold", If you read Isaiah 13:11, just a couple verses before that one, you will be able to put that verse into context. The speaker is damning Babylon and is saying "I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold", inferring that men (humans) will be hard to find because most will be dead.

You claim you're a real man worthy of leading someone but you can't even debate the bible without slinging mud, calling names, and referring to women as "bytches". Pathetic.

Also how old are you?
Queen of Sheba wasnt from the chosen line she was an Ethiopian hamite. Name an Israelite Queen bro that was reveranced? Never mind the back n forth I see why you don't understand you are a Hamite also from Congo.

I don't understand people like you. Why debate the bible if you're not a Christian? Either way though...thanks for your input.

Also you're not talking to a little kid. I'm not skeptical of submitting to a man. If I never find a man "worthy" of submitting to, then I'll die an old maid and keep it moving. It's not the serious and I value my independence and freedom anyways so :yeshrug:

Also neither God himself nor Jesus said the 1 Timothy verse. I'll do a little more research on it later because it seems like it's out of context..:aicmon:

Also for any man that agrees with the Titus verse (which is also out of context), then I sincerely hope you plan on being the sole bread winner for your family. If we're going to take everything so literal... :aicmon:

you said women are skeptical,if they are they should do what you are saying you will do and die by theyself instead of try to change the rules...i thought we was thru debating last night on some live and let live shyt:rudy:,and u threw bible verses at me btw,i gave you some back and asked you to break em down...you tell me i probaly shouldn't take them literally:manny:

Female Rulers and Queens
Many queens are mentioned in the Scriptures.[2] Some queens were merely consorts to their royal husbands, but other queens, such as the Queen of Sheba, and Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, appear to have ruled in their own right and had considerable power.

Here are the queens and female rulers mentioned in the Bible. Let me know if I’ve missed someone.[3]

~ The Queen of Sheba, known for visiting Solomon to learn from his wisdom (1 Kings 10:1ff; 1 Chronicles 9:1ff; Luke 11:31).
~ Tahpenes, a queen of Egypt (1 Kings 11:19-20).
~ Jezebel, the wife of Ahab, king of Israel, and the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians (1 Kings 16:31). Jezebel was a wicked queen with clout, and is mentioned several times in 1 Kings chapters 18-21 and 2 Kings chapter 9.
~ Athaliah, the murderous granddaughter of Omri, king of Israel. She became the sole ruler of Judah when her son King Amaziah died. (2 Kings 11:1-20).
~ An unnamed queen of Chaldea who gave her husband Belshazzar good advice (Daniel 5:10-12).
~ Vashti, the wife of Xerxes (before Esther) who was exiled because she would not submit to her husband’s undignified request (Esther 1:10-2:4).
~ Esther, the Jewish wife of Xerxes. Queen Esther was instrumental in rescuing the Jews. She was not a ruler like her husband but, as queen, her instructions were carried out by men and by women (Esther 4:15-17).
~ An unnamed queen of Persia, the wife of Artaxerxes (Nehemiah 2:6).
~ Candace (or Kandake), queen of Ethiopia (Acts 8:27).
~ Bernice, wife of Agrippa (Acts 25: 13, 23; 26:30).

Hugenberger has a shorter list of queens/female rulers in his article but he includes Deborah and writes: “Deborah, the wife of Lappidoth, who was both a prophetess and judge (presiding elder over Israel) in Judges 4-5.” (1992:345, footnote 11) Sheerah could be added to this list. Sheerah was clearly an influential woman and probably a leader of the towns she established. One of the towns even bears her name – Uzzen Sheerah (1 Chron 7:24). Perhaps Miriam could also be added to this list, considering that she was a leader along with her brothers (Micah 6:4).

It's a formula that has worked for millenniums. The man is the household, and as head of the household, he makes sure his family is taken care of it. Only in this modern, confused generation is something like that looked upon with scorn and disdain. As head of the household, you have a duty to make sure your woman and your children are taken care of and it's her duty to submit to your leadership.
My thoughts exactly

I swear some of the most pathetic men post on the coli. So powerless and ill equipped in their own lives that they only way they can build up their own self worth is to demean and claim superiority over women. Its disgusting. Can scream cac this and cac that and cry about racism and inequality to white men but see no other way to live than to apply those same practices of inequality to women. Truly pathetic.

Says one of the dudes who scoured the book of a religion they know deep down they don't really subscribe to just to find verses that help them believe that men > women.

The only ones hurt are the people who need and seek that type of validation :umad:

You proved my point. None of those queens are from the bloodline of Jacob.

All those queens you posted are heathens.
