Circle braid pattern with small braids.
I want a sorta big horseshoe and all my edges left out though.
I grew my hair to about waist length with sew-ins and my hair is pretty thick as well. A braid pattern like in the video below always worked for me at all lengths. I would do my braids a bit smaller though. The girl in the vid has plenty of leave out. I think in general you can pretty much make this work with any length of hair. You just have one long braid at the end that you can sew down around the other circular braids. Mine was never bulky, but idk maybe your hair is thicker.

even with swelling there was no bulkiness? thats another concern of mine

I was actually thinking of getting either a Mohawk or a bob haircut with layers a 2 months ago but thank God I didn't go through with it. I'll do it when this color fades off so I can start fresh with my new black hair.

It's not the mohawk you're used to tho.
I would plan on keeping most of my hair(not gonna do the actual mohawk) just trim the side near my ear,.... n it would be one side since I'm too much of a p*ssy to go through with the whole thing,. then I changed my mind

Lol thats why I cut mine. I want to get a sew in before Christmas but my hair was too long
I cut my hair for style usually...I only whine when it's growing back because I hate the awkward length.....I just chopped about 4inches and colored it last month.....it should be back to it's previous length by January so its not a big deal.
I'm not gonna do it yet...when my color wears off... So my new black hair color can be natural and healthy.
It'll grow back.
