Funny movie. Best actress was the mom to me. The twist surprised me but I think it was cheesy. Just felt like the agenda had to get in there. Her rich best friend was so fine. At least they had some token blacks unlike some of these Oscar films. Religion played a part and although im not Catholic I would be upset if I was at parts. Overall good acting from everybody. Be surprised if it won best picture doe

Great movie, went in knowing it had high praise but having no clue what the film was about and was really pleased with it. Laurie Metcalf was outstanding in this, she could do everything but connect with her daughter weakest part was the ending.

They even had my man Senator Lockheart from Homeland being a believable nice guy dad

watched this last night off the strength of this thread.....this movie was NOT thread worthy....

Even if you didn't like it, it's one of the few films this year get a 100% on RT and it's been nominated for awards so that makes it thread worthy. Besides we make threads for crappy movies all the time on here.

Hey this shyt was actually pretty good. I feel like that Florida project was super overrated but this was very close to the mark. 8.5/10....I feel like if you're a chick (especially a mom with a daughter) it'll be more emotional for u. Since it didn't move me like that I can't go 9/10 or higher. Enjoyed it tho for sure. Ol girl that looks like a thicker Mila kunis
