BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
There was a planned live action film with Chadwick Boseman but since he passed the production has been silent.

Probably gonna be in dev hell now :mjcry:
Aldis Hodge would be a perfect choice. That man needs more roles.

Beautiful presentation overall. animation and visuals on point and the soundtrack is better than last time...but man this dude is just a bad writer.

I gave Cannon Busters a pass on this front but this series too is just nonsensical. They're in 13th century Japan with magic, robots, shamans, giant mechs, telekinesis, a animorph woman wearing 80s clothes....and no explaination for any of it.

Somehow a story that starts with a boy asking a retired Samurai for a boat ride down a river turns into demons, robots and magic in less than an episode.

Lesean's approach still comes off as a well made fan project on youtube and not a full fledged fully planned out story. Just a mess that tries to incorporate anything someone's nephew could possibly think of into a show, and give it some of that black flavor. I want to like it without feeling like some kind of lemming.

It could have worked as a movie maybe.

Agreed 100%. If you do these period pieces and you plan to have fantasy elements in them than explain them or leave them out entirely.

Just finished. Show kinda let me down after the first ep, which sucks because I thought there was some potential here. I think part of the reason I feel underwhelmed is because I was hoping for something more grounded, rather than the robots and supernatural forces being added in just because.

This shyt really felt like a facade for FlyLo’s piff soundtrack, which was honestly the only thing keeping me going during the last three episodes.
