Coaching would make a difference, sure, but that wasn't the issue here. The Lakers really just aren't that talented, UNLESS the Westbrook thing worked out perfectly. Instead, it worked out to worst case scenario levels, plus AD missed half the damn season. For the last couple of months, the starting lineups have involved Austin Reaves/Malik Monk/Stanley Johnson/Bron/Russell Westbrook, with Howard or Bradley thrown in there. That team is objectively not good.
