Lakers offseason thread: Renovation era

IMO the only person who actually deserved the level of hate they got this past season was Steve Blake. Blake was brought in to do one thing and one thing only: Knock down wide open shots and his bytch ass couldn't do it consistently.

I understand the criticisms people gave certain players but they'd always go way to far and start calling dudes bums and wanting them traded for lesser players.

yea Blake did do fine in the beginning of the season, but than he had the injured rib than he never recovered from there. but, he did do a good job in the 1st round against denver, but he didn't meet expectations and he is getting paid a lot too for just shooting wide open three's and he ain't making em. but, hopefully with a full training camp, and some trades and acquisitions too hopefully, the Lakeset squad will be fine and do some great stuff, in spite of Mike Brown

Adelman seemed like the perfect fit but this fakkit Jim Buss wanna go hire the Potato Head who knows nothing about Offense but because he promised to give Bynum a bigger role he got the job and he gets paid about 4 million a year.
We need Jerry to come back and let Mitch do his job cause ever since Jim Buss took place in the front office shyt been going down hill..

AP Source: Timberwolves making run at Pau Gasol

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the conversations tells The Associated Press that the Minnesota Timberwolves offered Derrick Williams to the Charlotte Bobcats for the No. 2 overall draft pick in an effort to eventually land Lakers forward Pau Gasol.

The deal never came together before the draft began on Thursday night, and the Bobcats stayed at No. 2 and took Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. The person requested anonymity because the talks were meant to remain private.

Williams was the No. 2 overall draft pick last season and is considered Minnesota's best trade asset.

The Timberwolves were expected to continue their pursuit of Gasol in hopes of pairing him with fellow Spaniard Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love on a revamped roster.

nah...way too many celtics for my liking.

I dont like Pau for Josh Smith much either...on paper it sounds cool but him and Bynum would be cloggin up the lane...Pau spreads the offense with his shooting...which is why the Lakers are so effective when he plays the 5.

yea i didn't get that shyt it either with Blake, especially when the shot clock was going down and would kick it back to Kobe for a bail out shot had me like Sessions was just shook as fukk in the postseason. At times I forgot he was our starter when he was on the court, the dude straight disappeared in the playoffs. He was a good 3 point shooter for us in the postseason, but when it mattered in the playoffs he couldn't do shyt. Sessions imo is a back up PG, but he will have to be our starter for the immediate future unless we get a big name PG in a trade.

I don't know, us Laker fans don't know, and the rest of the league don't get the hire at all breh. Adelman was too perfect to be our coach so they had to get this fool I just hope that we get Beasley for us and have him coming off the bench and that can be a start, and see what happens with Pau. I'm sure big shyt will be happening and poppin' with Lakeset....I hope
