I certainly wouldn't call it a talent. We've seen how successful that kind of ploy is in the postseason. It's actually counter-productive to the team in the long run, because he's lulling himself into a false sense of security and becoming dependent on something that isn't built for the long run. It's the equivalent of training for a marathon and only ever doing 10 mile runs as preparation.

To me, this is just growing pains as a result of finally being the number one offensive option on a playoff team. Harden has already shown he doesn't need to get to the line to kill you. Ask the Spurs.

He just needs to tweak his game. He's already a great finisher and PNR player. He can create off the dribble and he can penetrate on most any team. Just needs to work on distributing and trusting his teammates more when he causes teams to collapse.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Harden's game. But he is able to draw contact and he's crafty as anyone in the game. He's also YOUNGER than Curry and nowhere near his prime. He has time to figure it out.

Ask the Spurs what? When did Harden kill the Spurs as a #1 option in the playoffs without getting to the line? This is what the argument is about isn't it? Whether or not this so-called talent of his is successful in the playoffs as a #1 option? If it's growing pains, than this transition phase (drawing contact) isn't a 'talent', and I'd argue that it's not some growing process, because this is the third season now it's still a crux of his game. Do you really expect him to go 82 games using this method and then somehow not trying to use it in the playoffs?

Funnily enough, that's the area that he's actually improved in most.

While that may be true, like I said above, that Maggette-style of scoring is not going to last in the long run.

i love it :blessed:

there has never been a 36 year old with this type of conditioning

how do you come off 2 serious injuries and have the endurance to put up that many shots in one half?

if you count the ones that barely missed kobe would have 40-45 points at the half :damn:

The lakers bench outscored the other 4 starters 44-27

They need to switch something up. Jeremy Lin is probably the 2nd best offensive player on this shytty squad and only had 2 shots...Kobe is probably going to kill this dude mentally by game 20 (if he hasn't already)

BOOZER is finished

I'm confused. Why are nikkas mad at the way Kobe is playing?

We all know this team is going nowhere whether Kobe plays team ball or not. Why shouldn't he just gun for personal accolades during this lost season? Which also has the benefit of helping the Lakers get more lottery balls for a chance at Jahlil Okafor or Emmanuel Mudiay?

Kobe gunning and leading this epic tanking campaign is alot better for the Lakers than him trying to get this group of misfits to 35-40 wins. Gimme the entertainment value of games like last night along with the added benefit of knowing we'll be able to keep our top 5 pick over Kobe sharing the ball with Carlos Boozer and Wesley Johnson.
