Fasho. I agree. He was never good defensively and in today's game that's a big negative.

But........... He's still a lot better than dudes getting PT off the bench right now (or at least his last active season). Id sign him for vet presence, enforcer, rebounding, pick and pop.
Mike Malone - who loved Boogie and Boogie respected in SAC - got rid of him and kept old as DAJ. That tells you all you need to know about Boogie’s options in the NBA

It's like if Lebron actually played like he is 40
:dead:

No hate on the young brotha though I'm sure he is very talented at basketball and playing in China he's still in the 99th percentile of all people who ever hooped living at this moment

This dude should still be in the NBA man. He was still good at every stop, was really good for Denver a few years ago. Was good on GS.

Seems like the league just wants to move on from guys at a certain point.

attitude also plays a role :yeshrug:

Boogie’s gonna be 34 years old at the beginning of next season. At that age, you’ve got to be a mentor/role model for the young guys, otherwise you’d just give that roster spot to a young guy who might have some upside still. No one is gonna put up with bullshyt from the 12th man off the bench, hell they barely gave him slack when he was an impact player

This, Juwan Howard got his ring with Miami riding the bench and being a mentor. I think he got like 2 minutes of charity in the finals just to be able to say he contributed but he was there for the knuckle heads like Chalmers to make sure they stayed in line.

yup look at even javale mcgee was a knucklehead at one point but then became a mentor. There is a reason why guys liek dwight howard, boogie etc. are out of the league. Dudes with bad attitudes who still think they should play etc.

There is a reason why guys like garrett temple, wes matthews, jeff green, taj gibson, james johnson, kevin love even though they are washed are still around

He's also like a "idk if this dude can even give you neutral impact" guy when he's out there. He got no lift or side to side movement, and I mean even less than dudes his age like breh mentioned above me. Love is still a fantastic rebounder, even in his 30s. He still got the outlet pass. Even DeAndre Jordan came in I believe that Lakers series and was an oop threat and played some decent defense. Idk what Boogie can really give you that's complementary (meaning without the ball).

That's kinda the curse of being a dude who had to be a black hole on offense for so long on bad teams. I don't know if he got a chance to show he could be more before he was cooked. Even in NOLA, he was point Boogie and was being involved in just about every non-AD action. It just went from him being that nikka to not really being anybody at all in a snap of the fingers

They actually pay pretty well. Stephon Marbury went for a fat ass paycheck for like 4 or 5 years.

List some of the teams he'd be good on
