Entering Y8 (2005), Manning was 3-5 in his career playoff record; 0-1 in the AFC Championship; a 2x MVP; a 4x All-Pro (2x 1st Team); and widely viewed as the best quarterback in football...

Manning was also viewed as playoff dropper, and while not entirely his fault (his defenses and skill position teammates let him down a few times as well; I'll always remember the '03 Divisionals and that shytty Colts defense being the reason they lost to Kansas City)....while not always his fault, Manning earned that reputation with several performances in the playoffs that were well below the bar he set in the regular season.

Y8 was another disappointing playoff finish, and in Y9 (2006), he finally broke thru and won his ring.

Lamar Jackson has earned his reputation as a playoff dropper in similar fashion, even if the L's aren't entirely his fault. He's clearly not been his best in the playoffs.

Thru 7 years, he has an identical 3-5 record to Manning; 0-1 in the AFC Championship; 2x MVP; 3x 1st Team All-Pro; and because Mahomes exists, he isn't viewed as the greatest QB alive...

But he's had two consecutive better regular seasons than Mahomes, no other QB can say that. And go and look at MVP and All-Pro voting over the last two years....the voters are football people telling you that they think he is currently a better player than Mahomes.

He obviously doesn't have Mahomes' resume and playoff acumen, so no one would argue he should be ranked ahead of Mahomes. But he's been better than Mahomes in two consecutive regular seasons.

Mahomes is the only quarterback who should be considered ahead of Lamar, when talking about this era of quarterbacks.

Lamar is getting that Lombardi this year or next year. He literally has the Manning career arc. I'd prefer it be this year, because Lamar winning a title would lock him in, YES AT THAT MOMENT, as one of the 10 greatest QBs ever. As it stands, he's already a Top 15 guy

He has a potential ceiling to finish his career as the greatest quarterback ever, but the playoff W's have to start stacking and need to start accumulating this year. My prediction: no later than next year, Y9, he's a champion and shutting up the critics, but I'm picking him and the Ravens, barring any significant injury, winning it all this year.

2025 Revenge Tour on the way for truly one of the greatest players to ever play the sport---->a guy mf's (including ME) said couldn't be a competent NFL quarterback.

Greatest QB ever :jbhmm:

Man sit yo dumb azz down :martin:

NFL been around too long for that to be true....Hell, Jim Kelly would be taken over Lamar All-Time at this point.

Lamar probably 25th on an All-Time list at best as of today. If Randall Cunningham didn't come up 2nd twice in MVP voting and won those it would be hard for most to say Lamar is better than Randall Cunningham....

:unimpressed:

Breh, the AFC North is a bloodbath every single year; his most immediate competition is Burrow, not Mahomes or Allen. (Cincinnati needs to figure out a defense and offensive line, expeditiously). And like clockwork, the Ravens will lose 1-2 games every year to teams they have no business losing to.

Always support my Florida Dawgs, but as long as he's "Pocket Passing Only" Lamar in the playoffs, he ain't going nowhere. :yeshrug:

Harbaugh is an idiot and stops running the ball. Derrick Henry had only 16 carries against the Bills. :mjtf:

Ravens need a new coach.

Not until we get our lick back:russ:

He's like 6-1 vs Burrow:mjlol:

The Ravens are the clear best team in that division.
