He is nowhere near as polished, disciplined, or athletic as other 16-17 yr olds. He is a low IQ player. He has the worst shot selection I’ve ever seen for a guy who can’t shoot. He has a long way to go to get to the nba.

Paul George, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Giannis, KD, Donovan Mitchell, and Jrue Holiday all play good defense.

The offense you are seeing is a product of heavy P&R play and three point shooting not because players aren’t defending.

Exactly. Players are always hustling, closing out shots to contest the shot. There’s sooo many shooting fouls from jumshots these days. There’s even that problem where the defender is smothering the shooter to the point that he’s up under the shooter not giving him enough space to land, and the shooter ends up rolling an ankle or something.

Some teams haven’t figured out how to defend the P&R with guys like Harden/Capella. Especially teams like the Warriors that run those tricky staggered screen plays. That is how Isiah Thomas got a lot of his points in Boston. Even Pop has a hard time defending against that.

But let the Coli coliseum casuals tell it. Don’t nobody plays defense anymore
