This is a myth he’s not Trae Young. :mjlol:
I didn’t say he was his size and possibly strength training and effort can fix that. Im more confident in him becoming a better defender than some lights out shooter

Maybe not lights out but it's much more likely he'll improve as a shooter. Especially if he ends up somewhere like GS playing and training alongside hall of famer shooters like Steph and Klay

If he doesn't become a more efficient shooter his career path is going to be Lonzo status.

I don't think you can build a team around him.
Which is what you hope from a number one
Other than being potentially lazy, Anthony edwards is the number one pick to me. Oladipo, Mitchell, Wade if he pans out. Waiters if he doesn’t. It’s dicey to pick him number one.

No way would I take Lamelo #1. He needs to be on a team where he doesn't need to play heavy minutes and can hopefully learn the game while coming off the bench. Had he played a year on college it would be easier to assess his ability.

That sounds like majority prospects
Only top five teams I can see even sniffing him are hornets who need a big man and probably want wiseman more and the bulls where you put lavine with melo and I’m expecting trash.
Pistons and knicks only top ten teams I can see wanting him and they both need playmakers badly

I think when as he gains more strength and matures, he'll develop more into a 2 or 3

His passing is good and all but I think he'd benefit alot by having a quick and tough defender beside him who can help create and guard 1s

I think his quickness isn't great for the 1 and his size is almost unimportant. No one's gonna base an offence on playing off of melo in the post

I doubt he'll be a 2 or 3, atleast on offense. Coming into the league I think if he is not the primary ballhandler, he's useless. Ball handling and playmaking are his biggest assets, he's a true point guard.

If you mean they will hide him on some 2s or 3s like Steph, I can see that, but you'll usually need a defensive 2 guard or tweener in the vein of a Marcus Smart or Thybulle, and they won't be truly playing the 1.
