They definitely had a falling out at some point, but I'm not sure what his relationship is with Jay currently. There was a period when Klein was going hard at Jay in interviews, but in later years softened up and blamed himself for the cause of their rift. So I don't know if they spoke and sorted it out or if it was his attempt to reconnect with Jay.
I don't think so, he was actually working for Akon for years after he got released. He said Jay reached out to him when he was in the halfway house and Jay told him he got him. That same day he got introduced to Akon who was visiting someone else at the halfway house and Akon told him he got him if Jay doesn't. Some time passed and apparently Jay never came through so he linked with Akon was working with him for years. Not sure if he's still with Akon or not. But he was up until 2020.

Klein did an interview a bit after he got out, and said Jay was looking out for him, but there came a time where he approached Jay about getting a large sum to start some sort of business, and Jay didn’t think his business idea was any good, and told him to come back when it made sense.
He also said he didn’t like asking Jay for stuff when he used to be his big homie, so they parted ways after that.
Yea. He recanted his story and got paid

He doesn't directly answer if it was over Charlie Baltimore but his look and non answer kinda gives it away.
After reading all this I didn’t know all this stuff about jay … he definitely wasn’t soft like some have tryed to paint this image of him …. I think some fans from the mid 90s say jay was scared to get involved in the east vs west beef … but how I saw it jay didn’t know pac or suge n them so he had no reason going at them other then his connections to badboy /puffy/biggie n them ….

That’s the conclusion I came to fresh it seemed to be a combination of the 2 …. it seeemd he was already heated at un over the charli situation and looking for a reason to take it there with un and the bootlegging was the last straw makes sense to me ….
